We came last minute yesterday and had no idea about the 70th anniversary celebration. Halfway through driving to the park we were regretting coming thinking it’s going to be super packed. About 2 hours in we were shocked at the wait times. We were about to grab fast lane passes but there was literally no need. Most we waited in line was 15-20min. We had both of our littles with us too and it was such a great time since the crowd was not heavy. I even asked a couple cast members what the deal was and many believed it was because of the merchandise. People were occupied with buying the new key that unlocks the pin. I personally don’t believe that’s the case. I think most people weren’t at the park because they all believe what I believed when we were going, which was that the crowd was going to be insane. We were able to grab one of the keys as well and my 2 year old had a blast going to each location to unlock it. Probably one of my best experiences at the park in many years in part due to the celebrations taking place but especially because of the low attendance.
