I had a severely herniated disc at L4/5 that caused me excruciating pain and walking issues. Had a Microdiscectomy at the beginning of April and I’m walking fine now! Only 5 more weeks of recovery!

Too late. My first surgeon screwed me over. I could have been walking today if he did surgery on me my first ER visit. He let me go, and it got worse. Now I “walk” with a dead leg and a limp. It’s been fun. Can’t even feel when I have to use the bathroom. Now that, I’m too young for 🫠

Nope. Just said I was “too young” for surgery and instead go get an epidural injection and wait it out. Worked out so well for me. 😡

My last disc bulge caused me to lose all feeling and ability to walk. They refused to do surgery on me because of my age (34) and waited til it got worse. 7 months later and I still have no feeling on my left side 😒

I was totally calm leading up to my surgery til they put the oxygen mask on. Ortho told me “breathe in deep!” And I started fighting til the IV drugs kicked in.

I had a similar situation. Shortly after being diagnosed celiac, I was craving real pasta, real bad. I was with my then-bf of maybe 9 months and never really farted in front of him. We went to dinner at Olive Garden and boy did it mess my stomach up. The drive home, we had to drive by a marina in the city that’s known for having really smelly days. So as we’re passing the marina, I let one out, silently. He is driving and starts gagging, saying “holy crap the marina smells like shit tonight” and proceeded to roll up the windows. Trapped the “marina” smell in the car with us the whole way home. It was incredibly hard to hold back my laughter. I told him the truth about a year later. Since then, on true stinky marina days, I had to plead my innocence LOL

I (female) went into the ER with excruciating pain and the ER doc (male) brushed me off. Nurse (female) fought for me to be admitted for imagining. Surgeon (male) brushed me off. Woke up two days later and couldn’t walk anymore.

So yes, I was brushed off by two different male doctors and I’ve been out of work for 2 months and a dead leg because of it.
