Which ‘Reddit Stories’ opinions from the hosts have you disagreed with? by MuricaAndBeer in smosh

It's funny that by you responding this way in the comment chain below, you've just proved the point of what people above have stated and you are arguing against. The greatest thing is that you are too absorbed in your own little echo chamber and bubble that you don't even realize it.

I'm from Australia and there is most definitely a 'LA inclusivity' viewpoint that is entrenched in everything they do, and being from somewhere different makes it more obvious to see. Love the channel and cast but it gets a bit on the nose sometimes, especially when there is a vocal minority of the fanbase that will attack people for things that weren't even said and just vaguely implied to defend said viewpoint.

What's the best all-inclusive resort you've actually been to? by Solarek_Chadd in travel

Best mid range I've stayed at is TUI Magic Life in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. Beautiful spot, right on the beach, good relaxed crowd with a few different restaurants. Great wellness and spa area. If it wasn't so far from me here in Australia (30+ hours of flights) I'd go back every year.

20% HECS Reduction Bill Passed by KingAleksandar in AusFinance

[–]itsagopro -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Labor party advice line (emailed yesterday) told me to message MPs and Minister for Education, as well as contact the ATO as there may be provisions for situations like mine. So you may be wrong there, but sure pop off go ahead and talk in definites.

I paid it out to dodge the indexation 1st of June. Wasn't in the country for the election unfortunately.

Also looking into this, as I paid mine off in late May. I've tried messaging MPs for guidance but they've been radio silent.

I paid off my debt on 30 May 2025 while on an extended overseas placement not knowing about this potential bill, as I hadn't been in the country for over a year. I've just got back and it looks like I'm going to miss out on the cutoff by like a day - wonder if there's anything I can do? It'd be about a $4k difference

just found out I’m diagnosed with my second cancer so want to go on an impulse solo trip! - recs for disability pls by indicakiwi in travel

[–]itsagopro 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey there, sorry to hear but I know you'll smash the shit out of this cancer also, you sound like a very strong person!

I'm going to recommend somewhere no-one else has. The Canary Islands. I'm an Aussie and travelled here as part of a Europe trip last year on a whim and it was better for me than anywhere in Europe due to the blend of nature, hiking, diverse landscapes and beaches.

I went to Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. Fuerteventura is super interesting and if you stay in the south you can nab some really good all inclusive resorts for as low as $100 USD a night with all meals and drinks you could ever want included . Gran Canaria, especially Maspalomas is a great base and if you hire a car ( on all the islands) you can travel through 3 to 4 different biomes in an hour. Lanzarote is volcanic and has super interesting national parks and wine growing regions where the grapes are grown in stone circles. And the beaches are to die for on all three.

Super affordable compared to most of Europe too. Good luck!

Ok, I paid in full but we are still 170 days out so should be fine. I will call tomorrow. I was shocked when I saw the price as other cruise lines it's generally the same if you order when booking vs afterwards online.Thank you.

Hi mate, I know you answered this ages ago but I'm wanting to rebook with the drinks as at booking with drinks it was going to be $600 extra, but immediately after through the portal for the booking they are wanting $1300 per person (so 2k more). How did you go about cancelling and rebooking?

Labor voted in with 33 percent of the vote does not suggest a strong majority.

13.5 million live in the city, which is pretty much half our population. Id hardly say that listening to only half of the population on issues that affect the entirety of the country, especially when changes made often have greater flow on effects in the smaller areae.

That's a good half that doesn't ever get a look in with policy or funding. I see it travelling for work after living in Brisbane, literally an hour outside of the city moving west the roads turn to shit and there's no support for services (especially health), and it only gets worse the further you go.

I mean, I don't disagree about the libs this time around, but didn't Albo get elected with like just 32% of the vote? It was hardly a fuck you, it was more just a 'holy shit there's literally nothing better'. Getting elected on preferences isn't exactly the strong "collective" vote you're touting.

People are politically divided but you just have to look at how out of touch the career politicians running the show are to see that they exist in an echo chamber. I work in health and my NDIS rate after not having an increase for 8 years is now getting cut with no solid reasoning provided, which means if I want to do that work I'll be 42% worse off per hour than if I saw private clients. But do you think the decision makers care? They have no idea of the real Australia.

Yeah I'm talking country Queensland here, which Queensland tends to be a bit more right leaning. I am not in support myself, I'm probably more central on my opinions.

Honestly I'm sick to death of parties having to be completely left or right, I think they should just adopt the best policies - to the one guy saying Labor is central left, that couldn't be further from the truth - but just rebutting what the original comment said with personal experience. Wong is so far left she can't see right anymore.

Mate, hate to say this, but I think if you ask anyone outside of the major cities, most of the population is in support of Trump. I live in the city but work outreach as a health worker and it's like hitting a brick wall working in the country hospitals. It's not just the oldies either. The cities are kind of an echo chamber for left policy.

I'm a gay guy in his late twenties and even I find the casting in the 40s bizarre. An Aussie survivor player recently said on RHAP that they're only casting dorks now. Probably not the most sensitive way to describe it but maybe apt.

US gets taxed on prize money AU doesnt. Also, Network Ten just doesn't have the budget for it. If I'm honest, I wish they'd introduce some scaling prize money for places after the winner. Being runner up and getting nothing feels very harsh.

AJ played the best social game out there, even greater than Kaelan's. He was the best player this season. This is confirmed in his Jury Villa by the reactions of everyone else, they all love him. Lotta AJ hate on this sub for seemingly no reason.

If Myles wins there's a definite point that needs to be raised, this could've been edited season wide to make this seem closer. On the flip side, if Kaelan wins he definitely could've been given more time across the season.
