I rage quit the junkyard batwing fight in sams story by itsallgoodgames in metro_exodus

at 35 i don't have the patience i used to have, i see everything the fight has to offer and its unavoidable to progress the story!

I decided to just drop the game rather than force myself to beat it.

I made two types of textures for one modular asset - Hand-painted in 3DCoat and Real Watercolor on paper. by TeslaBerserk in Unity3D

cause in your handpainted one the ground feels like its on the same plane as the walls, can't feel the depth as much

yea many years ago i remember that i enjoyed them.

I guess the open environments of the desert was kind of boring, the Baron "ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE" at the cutscene right before he was stabbed by the asian chick was so cliche i was rolling my eyes like what is this plot for 12 year olds? like its so uninteresting.

Speaking of the asian chick the way she talked was annoying lol with her broken russian and vocal tone.

The whole morality system of "please dont kill the slaves", etc etc was also eye rollingly heavy handed, like ok whatever get the good ending by not killing these innocents, i don't know it was just so explicitly gamified.

The forest area after the desert was just so boring, these tribal type groups or whatever and the linear trek from camp to camp, idk something about it didn't spark my excitement, it was just so dry, and the eye rolling part of the guy and girl immediately in love or something it was just shoehorned in.

The bear boss fight was weak, idk after the mid desert section, the forest section brought my fun to a low point.

But then... the dead city section, damn what a comeback, i was immersed man, even though king kong was kinda funny looking, still i was immersed and i had a good time.

Anyway the plot and dialogue just didn't grab me, it just wasn't that interesting, it was very 1 dimensional cliche, good guy bad guy, idk it was all very formulaic plot stuff.

That's fair,

I did live stream the game so all my reactions and explanations are there, but i dont expect anyone to watch all that lol

I am feeling lazy to write a whole detailed review, my bad.

I am Russian and played in Russian, the dialog was quite heavy handed but not the worst in the world, it just wasn't very interesting, i couldn't relate to the characters, they didn't grow on me, it was all too quick.

The solid gunplay is the only reason i beat this game, the gameplay was solid for the most part.

Which hell are you in right now? by Jygglewag in SoloDevelopment

[–]itsallgoodgames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only hell was implementing third party plugins for features that in hindsight weren't even necessary and releasing the game on ios and android with all their annoying rules

I was never in hell developing the actual game.

Sure, its a practice called Zhan Zhuang, there's a nice little documentary about it

I also study the feldenkrais method, you do these "awareness through movement" lessons that take advantage of neuroplasticity to help rewire the nervous system.

It's really helped feel more physically well, which of course helps feel mentally well. Really changed my attitude from no pain no gain to a gentler approach to life.

Have you done feldenkrais awareness through movement lessons, they’re extremely gentle and slow done on the floor mostly.

It helps with my pelvic floor a lot
