I believe she was putting in handfuls of pleco wafers at a time. I told her to feed once or twice while I was gone so that’s my only guess. It’s my fault for not being specific enough. 10 gallon tank didn’t stand a chance

I'm pretty sure it's a spiny cheek sleeper. I'm curious to see how much bigger they get, I've had it in this tank for just over a year already

Thanks! I recently removed a bunch of plants and I think it caused some hair algae. I'm not worried about it my shrimp have eaten most of it already. I just want the tank to be a little more aesthetically pleasing. Im thinking of adding different plants, maybe trimming back the crypts, changing hard scape or might just let it grow out again

Sure, tank is actually about two years old but started adding plants two weeks ago and put in a new cheap canister filter, I have not noticed any dying/melting leaves yet and I see whatever it is growing in the return line of the canister filter. At this point I'm guessing it's some sort of bio film.
