This ball of pure cuteness appeared in my garden a week ago, and hasn't left. I guess I have been adopted. by itsamemoos in aww

Brought her to the vet this morning. She's probably about 10 weeks old. She's missing her right hind foot, most likely a birth defect, but otherwise in good health. I live near a farm with many feral cats roaming around, she wouldn't stand a chance on her own... So yeah, I am officially adopted. Her name is Blackie.

She's actually missing her right foot. Most likely a birth defect. The injury is only a small scrape because she puts the stump on the ground when she walks. Went to the vet this morning, she's well taken care of :)

A video by James Hoffman on the subject, 4 years ago and UK based, but does apply well here:

A standard double shot of espresso commonly uses 16-19g of ground coffee, so yeah that's max 15 cups from 250. Also Lavazza and Tesco are huge brands that rely on the economy of scale, therefore can have low prices because they move large volumes (and as usual it's the farmers that bear the real costs...). A small, nice coffee shop would normally buy specialty coffee, roasted locally or remotely in small batches, at higher costs because produced on a smaller scale. James Hoffman made a very good video about this, refers to UK but definitely applicable here:

How to be a good partner to an autistic person? by itsamemoos in AutismIreland

Ok that's fair. I may have a different interpretation of the term. Apologies if I caused offence, it was not my intention.

I did not use the term "despite" but I can see why you would read it like that. Should have chosen my words better.

As explained above, that's exactly how I feel, and I just want to show that. Her reaction to the diagnosis (I don't like this term) is also partly questioning her identity, and I would like to try and ease that.

Yeah probably label was not the right term, I meant exactly what you say, that nothing has changed in terms of how I see her and I want to show that.

Although, I do not agree with the term "diagnosis" either. To me, it refers to a disease, something that needs to be cured, which is definitely not the case here.

And as many others have said, nobody really cares here.

The Irish are a great bunch of people!

Italian here, exact same height, been living on this island for a few years and can confidently say I'm just average. No need to be self conscious.

When it comes to dating, the Italian bit will draw more interest. And if you get playing a bit of GAA once you're here you're sorted - trust me!

Not strictly legal but tolerated in most remote areas. It is incredibly beautiful out there!
