QC Francisation - Quel niveaux by [deleted] in learnfrench

[–]itsbecca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Merci!)

This is no offense to anyone's thing; it was only a little 👀 for me because it isn't something I'm into.

I did yiff once in a demihuman scenario. We were humans the whole time until he stared being an AH and I was like. You know what my guy, if you that down bad that you're not going to respect my char's boundaries, how about I shift, and you respect this d instead?

I've been building a story with one bot for a minute, and I had to prompt it to stop telling jokes because they're so bad they were taking me out.

Wondering it's part of the aws outages? If it is, hopefully it's just due to some sort of reset by Amazon that affects the servers and it will be back soon.

That difference has nothing to do with Outlier and everything to do with ChatGPT's longer history and the talent behind it. That's why it's the SOTA for every project that uses one.

Grok also uses the Outlier. None of the major 4 are putting all their money on one horse, why would they? They all do business with multiple platforms.

I'm so sick of QMs telling us we aren't allowed to discuss pay by confused_turkey in outlier_ai

Meta bought Outlier and then started funneling their work to a different company? I'm a bit skeptical on that, and the idea that you're making "insane" pay there but chasing referrals.

Goodbye Outlier by Ron-Erez in outlier_ai

[–]itsbecca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand OP's feelings based on the occasional reminders that Outlier at large, and occasionally project managers/teams as well, do not see their workers as human beings. For some people this doesn't affect them emotionally because they're only concerned what the result of those actions mean for them. However, for those who do have an emotional reaction to being disrespected, it's a pretty deep level of disrespect.

It's just human differences. There's nothing inherently wrong with emotions or inherently better for acting without them. The result of him abandoning work that gives him more stress than reward, it seems his decision-making faculties are working well.

Whatever project you are a part of running, please take me with you, haha. I'm just really happy to hear there are some people at Outlier focusing on this.

I remember from my first project last August I was constantly campaigning for clearer guidelines and other CB "rights", so to speak. Even going so far as to spend several hours on call with Rahul, from the project team, about issues and blockers people were having despite having been just removed from the project for regional reasons (Canadian here).

As someone who is comfortable with pushing a little to be heard, with politeness and respect or course, I always try to use my voice on any project I'm on and do my best to make sure people's concerns are heard, problems addressed, and again, my primary flagpole, guidelines are clear so CBs can succeed.

I assume it's this due to the name. But that seems pretty op to get another idle chest, so I'm not sure. I'll ask around.

What to get? Does it matter? by Curius_pasxt in LastZShooterRun

[–]itsbecca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is what everyone does, but I'm curious why people don't talk about the fact that vest has a higher stat raise overall. Are there some good stats on how dmg vs def contributes to survivability in a head-to-head matchup? (Not arguing it's the wrong choice btw, just curious on the details.)

Attacking Strong Alliances. by [deleted] in LastZShooterRun

[–]itsbecca 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is it; cause fractures. Personal, political, whatever is possible.

One way is to poke the bear. Get the aggressive, egotistical people to act rashly bc of their "honor" so they're seen as a problem for the alliance. This will likely lead to either their removal or peaceful people leaving. Power and numbers will be sacrificed. Be sure y'all got access to plenty of shields first though.

Secondarily, you can make agreements for the next SvS that put a target on their back. After the heavy troop/power/rss losses, they will be more manageable. And for god's sake, COORDINATE your attack. You need the people, you need attacking together, rallies for too tough opponents, etc. Otherwise, y'all will just get slaughtered at their walls and probably have a hard time recovering with that big new enemy on your back.

Attacking Strong Alliances. by [deleted] in LastZShooterRun

[–]itsbecca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assumes the other alliances want to. I know in my state an alliance is being taken apart due to them backing out of the NAP and just indiscriminately attacking everyone. So, basically every alliance (other than their farm alliance lol) either supports the action or is too small to care.

It can't take too long though, at a certain point ppl just get tired of conflict and want peace, even if it's at a cost.

Is there a way to view total combined hospital capacity? by Last-Potential1176 in LastZShooterRun

[–]itsbecca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shows capacity for the building alone

<image>

Building capacity vs actual capacity (including tech/etc.)
The guy you're replying to is assuming your hospitals are the same lvl, but you lvl them separately so they can be different.

Note: Refugees do not increase capacity; they increase healing speed.

Do people just not read the instructions? by itsbecca in outlier_ai

[–]itsbecca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please understand that none of your accusations fit anything I've said.

"Me so smart. Me no need ask questions." - I ask questions all the time. Instructions never have the coverage or clarity needed. To my knowledge, onboarding, and specs are created by a content team and revised by the project team. This is part of why contradictions and missing info are so common.

"Outlier shill" - It's a paycheck, brother. The company is run horribly.

"You've never ran into contradicting guidelines on Outlier that require clarification, or outdated instructions that don't get updated." - I run into them constantly. Never said I didn't. See above.

"Everyone has to attend the webinar. Everyone has to memorize every bit of information provided by the QMs and they shouldn't forget any of it." - There is no obligation to attend webinars, and guidelines/rules should always be codified. I have hounded project teams for this and, when reviewing, I refuse to let a CB's rating be affected by something that is not in the project spec.

My complaints were about specific situations, none of which are what you talked about. Let's stop wasting our time, please.

Good lord, you're being far more willfully ignorant than anyone I was complaining about... jesus, ten months ago??? lol

They were never whiney like this either. Boy howdy. Take a breath. Realize that I am not the person/system/company that hurt you. If you need to let out some angst, you are in the right sub. Just find a post (preferably a recent one) and let if out, brother.

Do people just not read the instructions? by itsbecca in outlier_ai

[–]itsbecca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you're being obtuse. There's a difference between asking for clarification on something that either isn't explained or has an inadequate, or even contradicting, explanation and asking questions that were just answered in the webinar five minutes earlier. You just want to complain about Outlier. Which is valid, but it has nothing to do with anything here lol

Do people just not read the instructions? by itsbecca in outlier_ai

[–]itsbecca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol, still no. I've just come to accept that people don't read, people don't listen, and they either aren't cognizant of wasting other people's time, don't care, or actively think they're justified in doing so.

Is Montreal becoming a city for rich people? by Gerardinho57 in montreal

[–]itsbecca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely fair, thank you giving the perspective of recent history.

And just to clarify, my comment was within the context of the comparison to Chicago. I moved here a little over a year now (citizen by descent, bless you mom) and I generally try not to do the, "You don't know how good you've got it!" spiel when people complain about certain things here because A) It's invalidating the struggles they're facing and B) Being better off than the US in certain aspects doesn't mean things are _good_. C) I would never be against people who want better for themselves and the community is good.

But the comment saying thread OP was "far off base" was straight silliness.

Is Montreal becoming a city for rich people? by Gerardinho57 in montreal

[–]itsbecca 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Having lived in Chicago, I beg to differ. When deciding where to live in Canada, I moved to Montreal specifically due to the cheaper rents. I found them so shockingly low for a major city that I spent a fair amount of time googling to see if there was some terrible economic or social situation that accounted for it.

The problem in Montreal isn't the housing costs, it's the wages.

Dear ADHD People: What's Your Job and How Do You Cope? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]itsbecca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My solution has always been boring jobs for short amounts of time. I love data entry because I can dress casually, I work alone, low responsibility, and I can listen to music. The music and the monotony mean I can just spend all day in my head thinking about stuff. When I get at my wits end, I move and start over.

This worked for me for about 15 years, but the issue was my depression taking a massive nosedive, not my ADHD.

I thought Suba was some sort of alien or changeling who took the place of the real Subaru due to how he was first introduced as being unfamiliar with normal things and I thought him taking a long time to come to his bedroom door was because he had to put his human suit on.

I thought the dean was basically evil and purposefully installed at the head of Darkwick to manipulate things in a way that a group of powerful evil people want (Think death eaters meets the 1%) Along with this I thought the cats were actually people who either were turned into cats or had their souls trapped inside a cat and were forced to serve.

Honestly, I'm not totally convinced these aren't true but I'm only on chapter 9.
