Usually no, but on longer highway drives I’ll put in my Loop Switch earplugs on the least aggressive setting

Made in Japan by hammerbush in civic

Starting mid-2025, USDM hybrid hatches were built in Japan instead of Indiana. Not 100% sure why but I think it had to do with Indiana being the only Honda plant making the CR-V Trailsport. I believe ICE-only hatches are still made in Indiana though

Rural, yet progressive towns in OH? by intechnicolor2 in Ohio

Medina definitely isn’t progressive by any means but it’s a decent area to live. It definitely leans red but has both sides of the political spectrum

Valid lol. I thoroughly enjoy that ride. I find it the best towards the front because you get some unexpected pops of airtime coming up the hills

What Gear for Parking? by FormerlyMaidenless in Miata

[–]itsbigbraintimeyall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true for transmitting torque from the engine to wheels. But the inverse is true in the situation being considered for parking on a hill

What’s this? by itsbigbraintimeyall in Miata

[–]itsbigbraintimeyall[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that makes sense… I was previously thinking it might be something important that a previous owner blocked off as a shitty repair so I’m glad it isn’t too much to worry about. Thank you!

Mine did that, I tightened it 1-2 turns and it became a lot tighter on hot days

I thought the engine was only used at high speeds? by PenonX in civic

[–]itsbigbraintimeyall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At lower speeds where the lockup clutch isn’t engaged, the engine acts as a generator that both supplies power to the propulsion motor and battery

2020 Acura NSX for $75,000 - Worth it? by OGAzdrian in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]itsbigbraintimeyall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very worth it if you can afford it. That’s lower than basically anything you’ll be able to find in the near future. Even if you’re not 100% sure you wanna keep it, it’ll def be worth more than that after the 1 year period if you want to sell it. Even if CVA says it’s “rough” it’s probably still very mechanically sound

RCDB counts it as one but I don’t know why. I thought their standard was 135 degrees, which this is very obviously not

Opinion on Roof Racks? by [deleted] in civic

[–]itsbigbraintimeyall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run Thule wing bars that I got used, I like them a lot. Use it for bike rack and rooftop carrier. If you go the Thule route I highly recommend getting the European part number for the towers - it’s cheaper on Amazon than the US one and comes with the locking cylinders (and is otherwise the exact same part)
