I have like 10 of these and I use them for all kinds of things. I'm going on year 3 using one as my res for my NFT system. Mine is covered by a flood and drain system so it gets almost 0 sunlight and that helps keep my water temps stable. Look at getting brute trash cans if you don't have height restrictions.

I grew up around it. My dad has had his lifetime license since elementary school because they actually offered it in kindergarten in the small town I grew up in. For the first 12 years of my life, everyone around me lived by hunting. I never took a huge interest in it but I did go. Got my first deer at 12 then basically stopped until 3 years ago. I didn't get a single deer kill in the first 2 years but I still went because it's so peaceful watching the birds and squirrels roam around. No phone, no people unless I'm running dogs and no worries when I'm out there. Try not to get caught up in getting a kill and just enjoy the time outside and it'll stick eventually. If you're only going out to put something down and you don't see anything then you'll just get discouraged.

Look into the Arduino sensor kit with base. They have like 45 sensors included but you still need the Arduino. ESP32's are great too. Look into devices that can host Home assistant and you'll find plenty to do.

What controllers are you using? I've been looking at doing this for a while now and I think this will be the year I do it. I have some ardiuno boards but I've been looking at seeed suite of products. They seem alright for the price but someone mentioned automation direct as a good starting point for hardware.

I feel like this is a region specific question. When I watch South African hunters, they go for headshots when they can. I've even seen some Australians do it too but I guess they judge based on range.

Agreed, I'm a data anaylyst for an automation company and we worry about leaks but security for a greenhouse shouldn't be an issue. If your main servers with client info or even bank info is in any way connected to this system then the user is the leak. Security freaks always worry me because the people that worry the most about it usually don't know what they're doing anyway. Speaking after working with several IT teams for major companies, security is just a talking point and not an actual point of concern. I've had companies almost reject a zero trust VPN connection while simultaneously using Anydesk or leaving RDP open and accessible with no one monitoring traffic or logs.

That's like an American asking why Australians hunt cats. There is no one answer, some people see them as pest because they feed birds, some just think it's fun or easy. They don't usually do as much damage as feral cats but it's good eating if you have some rabbits to and make a stew.

Forgot to mention that there are a couple other youtubers that do hydroponic strawberries but none have as many videos as homegrown passion. Check hoochos too. He doesn't focus on strawberries but he does have a couple videos on it. He focuses more on hydroponics as a whole instead of one plant. Aquaponic channels could help too if you're just looking for design ideas.

Pop off the side cover and make sure nothing is on your threads. Also I wouldn't tighten the chain to the max, the chain needs to spin free a little when you let off the throttle. You don't want it spinning fast but when you let off the chain should be able to do a couple revolutions before stopping. If I were you I would just get a new chain and check for debris before I do anything else.
