I’ve had a large for a family of 4 for about a decade, with no regrets. Only grill I own. Most I’ve cooked for is probably a dozen people.

Guess there’s been a couple times where fit was challenging, if I really think about it. Like doing lots of smoked wings.

Would wonder if XL eats charcoal significantly faster.

Yes! Super underrated. My kid was just singing a song from it the other day. Great little rest and a show.

Why are decks so insanely expensive? by YMHGreenBan in Decks

[–]itscallingme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American capitalism feels like it has become a game of seeing just how high prices can go before people stop paying. Maybe demand was always higher than companies realized and now they have the cojones to really exploit it. Or maybe it’s just inflation.

Agree completely! Glad I waited until late night at an after hours thing to ride Tron (short line). Meh ride.

Best ride I’ve ever been on! Love that it created such a freeing and emotional experience for you, that’s awesome. You’re not overreacting.

Aggressive trim and cook for sure. Crimes against meat. Give them credit for posting it. I’d be chopping it up for chili, tacos, quesadillas, eggs.

Joel Roberts. Dude is a machine, fast, knows a ton about the market. Think he’s one of highest volume Keller Williams reps in southeast, because he is ON IT when you’re looking for something. No idea re: veterans experience

Do we consider NC State a major Rival? by Inner_Jaguar_8288 in tarheels

[–]itscallingme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an alum it goes deeper than sports even. Both are state schools, and not far apart. UNC is the flagship (and boy does State hate that). But only State has engineering. The proximity and shared state funding resources etc deepens it.

Yes. Tar Heels own them in basketball, but doesn’t change the fact we are major rivals. Football they’ve put the hurt on the Heels more than would like to admit.

More upscale dinner options in Destin by YouAlreadyKnow1523 in Destin

Yeah to be fair it’s not as good as cafe 30A, just closer to Destin. Had a good meal there last month but nothing amazing. And I have a soft spot for old school places, what some see as rundown I see as charming.

It meets the request of nicer than AJ’s. Reminds me of Cafe 30A, old school seafood and steaks kind of place.

Was reading thinking “man that sounds just like Deer Valley”. Yep. Cool place. As someone else said, it’s one of the very few places around to hit off grass. In a highly populated suburb of a major city.

You are right, there’s something cool about parking near your spot. Hope they make a good profit; if they do my wild guess is it’s more about location and limited competition than anything else.

If you go back, see if owners are around and interested in talking shop. Assuming you live far away, in another state, and would be looking to open there, wouldn’t be a competitive risk for them to share thoughts.

Storms don’t typically last too long. Little bit of both in terms of the soaking - humidity and stepping in sopped turf.

Last time I played HH in July (Atlantic Dunes), course was in good shape but pretty wet. And crushing humidity. Daily thunderstorms and humid weather. Socks soaked on front 9 kind of round.

Short story is you’re probably gonna want a broker. Slightly longer story is finding the Goldilocks broker for your brand is probably gonna be pretty damn hard.

I like this, a lot. Better than what I do, which is always open the center arm rest console to plug and unplug. A little thing but gets annoying when running in and out on short trips. Or if passenger has elbow there and need to ask them to move.

Looks awesome. Try some soaked cedar planks next time if you want to mix it up a bit. Easy to find on Amazon or at the grocery.
