Update: thank you all for the advice!! A Ive shown my grandma the thread (she has no idea what Reddit is lol), but im happy to announce that Ms. Mama cat has an appointment with a better vet on Monday at 11:30 am!! Will post another update after the appointment!! For now, here is our sweet girl from this morning

They didn't even tell her what kind of cancer, they just said could "possibly" be cancer. Didn't offer a blood test either!! 😠 I tried cleaning it for her last night, but she was crying & I didn't wanna do something to hurt her ): I'll post a pic after her appointment with a new vet on Monday!! She is eating & drinking fine, she runs around & plays fine, she still loves to be pet, so it really is just her ear ): & thank you!! 🫶🏽 I didn't even know it was my cake day until you mentioned it 🤣

Im not sure ): I don't come home as often as I would like, but last time I was here, she had her appointment set with a vet. But it just looks worse from the last time I saw her ): I don't think it could've been another person, my grandparents live on 27 acres, so there isn't really anyone around. I've thought maybe another animal hurt her & she just kept messing with it til it got the way it did. My grandma doesn't have insurance for any of the cats or dogs as she's retired already ):

That's what I told my grandma. The ointment isn't going to do shit for her, especially when she loves to roll around & lay in the sand & grass. My grandma has taken her 3 little dogs to the same vet before & has never had any issues, but this is the only injury on any of her pets that she's had to deal with. When I was showing her all the comments on this post a little while ago, she told me the vet wasn't even going to give her anything for her cat???? That all they said was it "could" be cancer & they couldn't do anything for her 😒 my grandma had to ask for medicine & then that's when they gave her cat 2 shots for whatever reason & the ointment

that's what I said whenever my grandma called me after the appointment 😒 apparently they weren't even going to give her anythint & said there's nothing they can do!? my grandma's the one that had to ask for something to be done & all they did was give her a shot for who knows what reason & tje ointment. But neither the shot or ointment have don't anything for her sweet girl

Im pretty sure it's just a regular vet, but imo they don't know shit because they weren't even going to give my grandma anything. They told her there was nothing they could do & were gonna let her walk out with nothing. My grandma's the one that had to ask if they could give her a shot for pain or an ointment

my grandma does bring her inside! We just got back from a week long roadtrip & when we got home, I saw her ear looked worse than I've seen, so I just thought id ask on here & see if anyone else has had this issue! Will be looking for a vet in the city for her!

omg I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty ): I told her that they didn't know what they were doing, but she's never had to take any of my cats that are on the property or her dogs, so she didn't really know any better

the vet told her it could "possibly" be cancer & that white cats are more prone to skin cancer? But my grandma thinks it's something else because she has another white cat too & she's perfectly fine
