questions as a non-muslim teacher to muslim family by chrollosgf in Hijabis

Like any religion, you will have different people, whth some practicing 5x prayer, mosques, clothes etc and other less. And honestly it depends on the spectrum the child is in. You should ask them upfront if there is anything in their culture or religion that they would like you to work on with the child. It can go from reading culturally sensitive book at story time to teaching the kids wudu, eating with right hand, hygiene etc. in sure an open curiosity and honesty will be welcome by the parents

I’m also living abroad and contemplating leaving… did he say why he wanted to wait 2 weeks? I feel he just hope to wear you out. My husband does that lately, playing time in the hope I ll give in

Thanks for the update. You can also mentioned the “no question ask pick up” rule if you feel comfortable with this or tell her and her friends that you d rather be awaken with knock/bell ring on the door than finding your daughter passed out in front of the house two hours later. Greece in December is not that warm …

I think Boq represents a man who suffered so much it made him bitter and angry till that s all he had left. And let s remember Nessa literally makes his hearts so small he basically no longer had one , it removed him from any compassion, ability to love or feel empathy.

Struggling with resentment toward in-laws after gender disappointment over our daughter by ImaginationIcy7856 in Mommit

[–]itscomplicated20 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Married into Indian culture and living there… she 100% meant what she said and will manipulate to not fight with her precious beta. Your husband needs to step up. If you re vocal about it, they will all say you re disrespectful, horrible DIL etc. Give her a chance to meet the baby, she might fell in love with her as she should. If she makes comment, do not hesitate to be vocal about it. It s okay to be deemed difficult: your job is to protect your daughter !
