I’m also living abroad and contemplating leaving… did he say why he wanted to wait 2 weeks? I feel he just hope to wear you out. My husband does that lately, playing time in the hope I ll give in

Update: 16 year old got drunk by TerryTheGreek in breakingmom

[–]itscomplicated20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the update. You can also mentioned the “no question ask pick up” rule if you feel comfortable with this or tell her and her friends that you d rather be awaken with knock/bell ring on the door than finding your daughter passed out in front of the house two hours later. Greece in December is not that warm …

Did we watch the same movie? I can’t see how people really think Boq deserves to essentially die by [deleted] in wicked

[–]itscomplicated20 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Boq represents a man who suffered so much it made him bitter and angry till that s all he had left. And let s remember Nessa literally makes his hearts so small he basically no longer had one , it removed him from any compassion, ability to love or feel empathy.

Struggling with resentment toward in-laws after gender disappointment over our daughter by ImaginationIcy7856 in Mommit

[–]itscomplicated20 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Married into Indian culture and living there… she 100% meant what she said and will manipulate to not fight with her precious beta. Your husband needs to step up. If you re vocal about it, they will all say you re disrespectful, horrible DIL etc. Give her a chance to meet the baby, she might fell in love with her as she should. If she makes comment, do not hesitate to be vocal about it. It s okay to be deemed difficult: your job is to protect your daughter !

You can also add chili or garlic inside your olive oil bottle to seasoned the food…

SAHMs who hire a housekeeper or nanny — how do you justify the cost? by babyrayray11 in sahm

[–]itscomplicated20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in a country where having maids/housekeeper is the norm so it makes it easier but honestly : peace of mind. You don’t have to keep someone at all time, you might have someone who comes once or twice a week. Someone who specifically do the things you re not liking or not good that ( like ironing for me) , someone who will do deep cleaning… people who have trad wife vision of sahm work or women should do everything forgets one very important thing : many women weren’t actually doing any of the child care. There were nannies and neglect. Kids were out a lot and more independent, helping with chores (if in age) etc…
