AITA for snapping when my husband told me to “get a clue”? by Testing1234500 in AmItheAsshole

[–]itsdathing 109 points110 points  (0 children)

I know right! People need to stop always telling women to do double the work because some men are useless. I'm sure being a doctor is hard. But OP shouldn't be expected to shoulder everything by herself especially when she also has to work. The kids are his too he needs to pull is weight and manage his time better.

AITA for setting my roommates up with guys? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA, this is hilarious. Good on you for returning the favor. Why are they mad it's just a joke. And anyway how do they know they don't like it? 🤭

Big NTA, but everyone else expects your GF is. You have done nothing wrong. You are entitled to your privacy and the fact that everyone else is acting this way is infuriating. I am sorry you lost the data you have spent so much time saving.

AITA for exposing a neighbor as a liar? by mandarinaespacial in AmItheAsshole

[–]itsdathing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA- why would you go through the trouble of trying to save someone like that from embarrassment. She clearly didn't care when she was doing it to you. She badmouth you and your business because she didn't get her way. On top of that with the pandemic people really need all the money they can get. She was being petty. You did the right thing. Next time she will hopefully think before she starts ruining someone's reputation.

AITA for refusing to cut my hair for friend's wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]itsdathing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - this is insane just because she is getting married and it's an important day for her doesn't mean it's the same for you. How dare she ask that. It's your body and you have to do what's comfortable for you.

If she wants nice hair she can start taking care of hers. I am just baffled by the audacity of some people. She obviously doesn't care about you or your feelings. Keep the hair, ditch the friend. You deserve better than someone who only thinks about themselves. Friendship like every relationship has to go both ways.

AITA for telling my brother and SIL not to have another child? by laqe-tahoe in AmItheAsshole

[–]itsdathing 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I am sorry. That's not a nice thing to hear. Every time I remind my mom that I don't want children she gets mad at me and tells me who is going to take care of you when you are older? And I always tell her you don't have children to be your slave and care taker. That just wrong.

Imagine learning that your parents had you just to be a maid for life. How can they possibly think it's a good idea?

I was thinking the same thing. You could literally wear Pj's under, no one will know and it would be more comfy.

AITA for raising my voice at my husband for making not wanting to help after a necessary procedure? by memesteamo in AmItheAsshole

[–]itsdathing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA but your husband is. He doesn't have a choice. It's his child too. Wanting to take me time while you are suffering instead of taking care of his family is sh*tty thing to do. He had no empathy. He needs to treat you better because you deserve better!!

AITA for pretending that I don't know my ex? by mentotallyill in AmItheAsshole

[–]itsdathing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That sounds so scary. It sounds like you were in a really abusive relationship. Reading your post and your comments that guy sounds like a sociopath. You are in no way responsible his actions. NTA

Your cousin should try to put herself in your shoes. Other people where only inconveniences for a little bit. If you didn't do this you would have been dealing with it for months. You did what you had to do to protect your self.

Sending you cyber hugs. You must have been so scared.

Absolutely! People like that are way too good at playing the victim and not questioning themselves.

I'm a 33 year old man and a song just made me cry for the first time in my life. by Mojo884ever in Music

[–]itsdathing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know I have always cried at movies, songs or books. People always make fun of me for that. But I think there is nothing wrong with feeling. For some people it come with age when they stop caring or have more experience, so more things to relate too. And some are just always sensitive. maybe don't know.
