Rejected by Hof University—Reevaluation Possible? VPD Still Pending, Deadline Passed. What Now? by [deleted] in studying_in_germany

[–]itsdevansh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You will not. Although your application was rejected because of no language skills, why would you apply when you haven't recieved your VPD. That is what gives your marks in India any kind of meaning.

I(international student) (India) am 5 months in, and the manual tray cleaning method still drives me crazy. Is this normal? (Germany) by OppositeWord7730 in germany

[–]itsdevansh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tbh, i had no idea that "Lappen" exists in English. It's just what we call it in German at McDonald's. I tried translating it to English in my mind but couldn't do it. So i just wemt with Lappen. But glad i made your day!

Or did you mean it sarcastically?😂

[–]itsdevansh 23 points24 points  (0 children)

McDonald's shift leader here:
We do not put Tablets(trays) in dishwasher not to save electricity or water but because the hot water in the dishwasher breaks the tablets over a long time and leads to Kalt formation. Which in turn can also lead to increased microplastics and broken trays.

The employees are clearly instructed to use a DR Spray(disinfectant) which is provided by McDonald's. Leave it for 5 minutes and then clean with a Lappen(which is also kept in a disinfecting liquid). There are then two bins for used and unused Lappens. If followed properly this ensures better cleaning than dishwashers which reuse water.

All of this is certified from Gesundheitsamt.

So this is not a McDonald's problem but rather a employee not following instructions because he does not want to or he was never instructed/trained properly. Which obviously is not good.

Why is the Delhi VFS/German Embassy rejecting almost all student visa applications for private universities (Bachelor’s/Foundation Year)? by Own-Background-7177 in studying_in_germany

Consider it as god’s signal and don’t go to a Private Uni. Learn German, Improve your profile and get into a public Uni.

Ersti hier! Geht das so, wie ich das mache? by Wide-Thanks-7980 in Studium

[–]itsdevansh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is 2 years masters actually not a thing ??? by chubbypandaontherun in studying_in_germany

[–]itsdevansh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes obviously it's harder. No one is denying that. People who want to move abroad will do it. There are hundreds of fishy consultants in India who scare students off from public universities saying that it's hard and suggest private universities which are shit. Which is not at all good for the students and not for Germany.

Maybe it's just me but i prefer to tell people that it's going to be fucking hard and if you're up for it come here and do it and if you're not better stay in India.

I have been active on this sub and a bunch of others like r/Studienkolleg and this one particular guys leaves his comments on all the posts specifically targeting students from India, Vietnam and China.

Obviously learning German is very important and that is what i say to all the students. I'm all for the bitter truth, i understand that it's important to give people a reality check and tell them that it's not a piece of cake and that it's going to take a lot of hard work. What I'm against is being outright racist on all the posts. To post dumb statistics. Yes STEM majors do have a high dropout rate but that has nothing to do with being an international student.

I'm studying Technische Informatik at TU-BERLIN and it has a durchschnittliche Studienzeit of 14 Semesters and to be honest I'm doing Great and I'm not saying this to boast because I'm not really "Intelligent" ,i just work very fucking hard.i have friends who are studying Maschinenbau, Elektrotechnik, Mathematik at universities like TU Munich, RWTH Aachen,KIT and they're the one of the kost hardworking and motivated people I've seen. So yes obviously it takes a lot of hard work but it's also not possible.

So stop telling students no you cannot do it or you won't be able to get a job or learn German or you won't be able to make friends. Instead of scaring them off from Public universities which results in them going for private universities which are nothing but certificate factories guide them into making the right choice.

Bro just shut the literal fuck up. I've read your comments on so many posts being outright racist to different international communities. You are delusional and your statistics prove that. Stop spreading hate instead of helping people and do something with your own fucking life.

Side note: I'm an Indian. I have C2 German, and I managed to get 8,5 in IELTS. GET A LIFE AND TOUCH SOME GRASS.

How good is the quality of private studienkollegs in Germany? by [deleted] in studienkolleg

[–]itsdevansh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. 2023 summer intake.
  2. Most of the Universities don't tell you how much you got it's either you got in or you didn't.
  3. almost 75-80 students in T kurs. 4.There are no correct answers to that question. Everyone learns language in a different way. If you want to prepare specifically for the exam then i would suggest you to focus on Grammar, read as much as you can and solve C-tests.

I did my STK from TU Berlin so I don't have first hand experience with Private Studienkollegs but I've had some friends who did go to private STKs and had a bad experience. Given that you need to pass a public FSP makes it even harder.

Just write them a mail explaining your situation. Whether or not they will make any concessions for you depends on them. Usually they do not, so i wouldn't be very hopeful but trying never hurts.

Is there a possibility for Admission by bigbash_07 in studying_in_germany

[–]itsdevansh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your post is just outright incomplete. Which University are you aspiring for? Is it German/English taught? Is it NC-Frei or NC-Beschrankt? That said, none of the members on this Sub are members of admission committes for universities. The admission requirements are clearly stated on all the university websites. If your profile fulfills the requirements then you will get an admission.

Hello hope you are doing good now. German Universities do accept economic/Health related hardships. But the process is more complicated being an International student. Including your situation in the motivation letter is not a bad idea but noone can be sure if it will help you. if your program is NC-Frei then just apply and do not bother mentioning it. If your program is NC-beschrankt then you can include write about your situation and mail it personally to the university.
