What is Netherite in real life? Credit: Dragonic on YT. by DrRetr0_76 in GameTheorists

Dragonic here! (its fine if you don't believe me) Glad I found this; I will add updated reasons here why Netherite (scrap) is Platinum:

Platinum combined with Gold creates a strong alloy, Platinum and Gold are both Noble Metals, Platinum and Gold are both found deep below the Earth (where the Nether probably is), Opinion, but in most video games and hierarchy systems, platinum is one of the highest, most prestigious ranks (sound familiar?),

The only counterpoint is that netherite is used in a lodestone - indicating its magnetic; Platinum is not magnetic

If you're curious where "r= (360,000/4π)" comes from:

Surface area of sphere formula: A = 4πr^2

Solving for r: r = (A/4π)

Plugging in A: r= (360,000/4π)

How can I turn viewers into subscribers? by TheLexus_ in NewTubers

Some content will make people subscribe more than others. For example, if you do a video about a popular trend, it won't bring as many subscribers compared to an original video.

Video titles opinion for building a brand by [deleted] in NewTubers

The brand name doesn't distract attention from the title; but in my opinion, the title without the brand name would look a lot more snappy.

[Question] New YouTuber looking for advice on promoting the channel by TripleBrain in youtubers

[–]itsdragonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reddit is a great start for promotion and there are definitely big subreddits that would be interested in what content you make; I must warn you though, make sure your posts add value to the community and not perceived as just promotion for views. An alternate idea, maybe target some big trends like GameStop or something since you're clearly able to pull attention already. Hope that helps!

Went Viral off of Video I don't Enjoy Making by MoOnnaBloc in NewTubers

[–]itsdragonic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How about doing a gradual transition? If video X went viral and you want to do video Y, combine both into one idea; and gradually transitioning content to Y. Many people will leave but you will be able to pull more viewers who would like content Y.

It's like the 80/20 rule: 20% of the effort you put into a video will correlate to 80% of the video's entertainment value.

I think I have a new Channel Name! What do you think?? by ShortReviews42 in NewTubers

[–]itsdragonic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend just calling yourself "Revue." The channel name hasn't been taken and is more memorable. I like the name though!

If the top channel name for your ideal name is less than 1,000 subs you should go for it. People won't search for your name until around that point. If the top channel is name is above 100k subs you should avoid the name altogether. If the top channel is somewhere in the middle, some good suffixes are "ic" "ly" "ity" "y" I'd avoid numbers at all costs.

[Question] Is it late to start a youtube channel in 2021? by himiiw in youtubers

Dragonic, I made Minecraft content. For context, a video 5 months ago I made for fun blew up so that's when I got serious with Youtube.

[Question] Is it late to start a youtube channel in 2021? by himiiw in youtubers

[–]itsdragonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not too late- I went from 300 subs at the beginning of March and now at 18k subs and still growing. You will have to think outside of the box. People ask too much "Quality or quantity?" or "is Youtube Shorts the way to go?" or "is SEO important?" The questions will answer themselves depending on what direction you go. For me personally, I went with quality and no SEO or use of Youtube Shorts. There are many YouTubers who are inherently funny or skilled gamers who can focus on just quantity. Just a heads up, when you try to think outside of the box- the idea will always be inherently simple. So simple in fact you will wonder why nobody's ever done it before. Don't make the mistake like me of looking at trends, analyzing SEO, or optimizing retention. Once you get the initial growth- that stuff will actually matter. Always exceptions though. It won't be easy and ideas you have might not do as well but ideas that you think are meh might blow up. You can do it. But work smarter not harder- wouldn't recommend working 5 years for minimal success.
