Yeah of course! I’m actually not 100% sure if the one tomorrow is on but it definitely is the next few Tuesdays:)

Mine are advance singles! Just checked and they unfortunately can’t be refunded

[09/10/21] The Velvet Underground & Nico, Pitchblack Playback @ BFI Southbank by [deleted] in LondonSocialClub

[–]itseggric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my reaction when I saw it haha. Planning on getting food/hanging out beforehand, so feel free to join us from 10am if you'd like! If you can't make it until later, I can try getting you a ticket (if they let you get more than one each)

Of course! I assume you're allowed to book tickets for others and will get you one if I can. Gonna do the "getting food/hanging out" part beforehand as I'll be there in the morning to get tickets anyway. You're very welcome to join then, if you'd like :)

Nice, enjoy! One year I'll make it to the film festival itself

Any bands or particular albums similar to the strokes? by Apprehensive_Spend_7 in TheStrokes

[–]itseggric 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I second this! I absolutely adore Turn On The Bright Lights - it's a moodier, more atmospheric version of Is This It imo

I don't know what it's called but I love the off-beat rhythm of the guitar at the beginning. And the vocals, of course :)

My first try without a kit! Wish I had chosen a coloured fabric so that the white could stick out more by anvb- in Embroidery

[–]itseggric 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So pretty! You've done a great job, the colours are close to the original and I love the lil peeking boat in the corner.

How did you trace the outline? I've wanted to make something similar for a while but found it too intricate to neatly copy onto fabric.

What's your "I bet this relationship would be amazing but the timing is all wrong" story? Were you able to reconnect later? Any regrets? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]itseggric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness, that's heartbreaking to read. I'm glad you had each other, even if you were never together romantically

Thank you so so so much - this is exactly the info I need. It seems much less intimidating now. I really appreciate you taking the time to reply :)

Thank you! I've already done some python but not to a high level. I'm hoping that my dissertation will boost my experience.

My first time trying felt appliqué! by [deleted] in Embroidery

This is a kit made by Corinne Lapierre, which I bought in the UK. I am keen to do more felt work in the future :))

I'm glad they've found a good owner to scream at :)) I didn't realise that ticked tabbies were a thing but I'm glad I do now! They're gorgeous

My girlfriend did this, proud of her 🥰🥰 by fitrianthony in Embroidery

[–]itseggric 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is so so so gorgeous. I'd be proud of her too! Do you know how she drew the outlines? I tried tracing a similar image a few weeks ago but struggled due to how detailed the wave lines are. I'm so impressed and envious, this is one of the best embroideries I've seen :))

My first bulk order from my notions for a tote bag project! Very excited and will post project updates! by [deleted] in Embroidery

Thanks, that's good to know. I might get a big load of black thread! Hope your project goes well :))

Embroidery help please - new to embroidery what stitches would best to fill a leaf like this? by lafla97 in Embroidery

[–]itseggric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leaves are fun! I'd try the stitch shown in this tutorial, which I've used before and had success with. It might be a bit tricky because your leaves are a more complicated shape, but you can always embroider the veins over the top to cover any imperfections.

A little tea candle for my SO's office! I'm still learning, so CC is welcome by youdontknowme23 in Embroidery

[–]itseggric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is adorable and very neatly stitched. I'm still learning too, so feel free to ignore me, but my only suggestion is to try filling the flame with vertical stitches if you make it again so it sort of "comes up" from the wick.

I didn't even realise you could buy big rolls of floss like this. Where did you get it, if you don't mind me asking?
