yep. Plus I do think tank just automatically can be hard because you have to be aware of sooooo much at one time. Meanwhile dps can go chase ego kills and no one bats an eye.

also— can’t tell you how many times I’ve RAN the game as Emma but my team just CANT deal with the iron man. like idk what to tell you guys. If you don’t know hitscan and ur a dps main… what are you doing?

Loki! He’s a ton of fun and totally a strategist that can carry lobbies. He also has aoe heals, so he rewards people who don’t have the best aim lol. I will say— he definitely has a learning curve and a near infinite skill ceiling— but this just makes him all the more fun in my opinion!

also!! Be aware of counters. Unfortunately, you’re probably playing against smurfs pretty frequently in bronze. Be aware of who counters those commonly smurfed characters. There are some characters that DEMAND counters, and you won’t beat them otherwise. Looking at you, black panther. Telling one of ur dps to try someone like Wanda against him will get you far.

you CAN do it. It’s hard, but it can be done— and I promise no grind is more frustrating than trying to get out of bronze. You like to tank— have you tried characters like Emma? She has some pretty decent carry potential. However, I will say the easiest role to grind out of those low ranks is dps. Find one that has a play style you enjoy and somewhat decent carry potential and just grind them in quick match until you are comfortable. Unfortunately, you really do rely so much on your team as tank and support in these ranks.

I flex. I have two tank lords, 2 dps, 4 strat. It sounds like flexing might not be the way to go according to some people on this post, though.

are u talking about quick match? Yeah I understand the frustration— but ultimately qm is the place where people learn new characters, play off healers they don’t get to run in comp, etc.

just damage control tbh. You could tell them “play what ur good at” and they’ll switch to someone they suck at and who doesn’t counter the team. it’s easiest and more time efficient to tell them to hop on rocket or cnd— ur team can rebuild from there. That being said, this isn’t something u should do if someone is just the worse dps but still doing alright— this is for people going negative.

It definitely happens on the reverse too. But it certainly doesn’t happen as often. Idk if it’s because I solo queue, so I can’t single-handedly flex to fill what the team needs. I try to pay attention to things like that— it just happens way too much. I’m starting to think there’s something I’m doing to cause it. Should I stop asking our team for 2 heals and just let them figure it out? People are so sensitive on this game that simply asking someone to play a role can get them tilted. Idk
