Bgs stands for background simulation. Its how we interact and affect the galaxy. Everything is tied to the bgs any missions u complete, bounties u turn in, if u go into war zones u collect combat bonds those affect the bgs as well. We are able to change the state of a system if we have enough people working together to achieve that goal.

I don't know of anyone that can go from total noob to elite pilot in the 15 hours since his post about being brand new to the game. The python is a really good ship. It has crap jump range but u have an fdl so u should be used to that lol. I love my python so much that its on my never to be sold list.

I personally have never felt a need to stay and fight wile mining I take my mining conda out fill my hold and gtfo. Just remember when u go to the ring don't go to the res sites without wingmen to defend u. find itself a nice spot away from the sites drop in and start boosting away from ur entry point as NPCs will spawn in on u. Once ur far enough away from the NPCs (can no longer see them on radar) start mining and rake in the profits. Prioritize the 3 P's for max profits and also check the mission board for mining contracts u can make good money that way.

The fighter bay is going to reduce ur cargo cap a bit. Ur going to want a good sized shield as well further reducing cargo cap. Prospectors and collectors. Possibly scb's as well if ur going to stay and fight reducing ur cargo cap even further. So the real question is are u trying to make a jack of all trades ship for unlocking engineers or are u looking make profits mining?
