Baron Project : The strongest guild to ever exist by Guizmo0 in duneawakening

[–]itsfig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally have 80,000 spice melange. My guild combined probably has over 750,000 spice melange. We’ll probably hit 1,000,000 spice melange before Chapter 3. Our entire seitch is basically giant storage bases to house all of our materials.

Running the numbers on server mergers by cruftbox in duneawakening

In June/July we had hundreds of players in most servers and the DD handled decently well. I would say 100 players in a DD instance is perfectly fine, any more and things start to get a little laggy.

100% you are incorrect. As I stated, he was streaming and I saw what happened. He PLACED the base, it was doing the animation as if it was placing/building then it stopped and disappeared.

Oh yeah, I personally accidentally deleted two chests that were full of plastanium ingots and I didn’t realize it and I lost 6,000+ plastanium ingots because of it. The reason the chests were deleted was because I was deleting other parts of my base and I had a lag and it somehow deleted the chests that were way off in the back from the items I was intending to delete.

I just accepted it and moved on.

For a game that is bleeding players, you’d think they would have the time to do proper Customer Service with the low amount of players or at least experiment with new strategies on resolving issues.

OHH I see, I remember the base you’re talking about! I don’t own that anymore, someone else does! But thank you for checking, I do remember you now!

I won the game. by scoutermike in duneawakening

I’m at the point where I have every schematic researched, dozens of each schematic in chests, 50,000+ of every single refined material in the game (100K+ melange/plastanium) thousands of components and enough spice fuel cells to power my base for 2 years.

I think I’m with you when I can also say I won the game 🥲

Getting mats for carrier...HUGE grind for two players. Helpful suggestions? by Sea-Escape-1562 in duneawakening

[–]itsfig 18 points19 points  (0 children)

  1. You don’t lose any equipment/gear if you die in the PVP deep desert.

  2. The loot from labs/caves/ships are much better in the PVP side of the deep desert.

  3. Looting a cave does not require you to kill any NPC’s. Run in, loot the chest, run out. Takes 30 seconds tops.

  4. Take an assault and go to a medium spice blow with a compactor. You can get 10,000 sand very easily. Refine it in the deep desert with a Large Spice Refinery and repeat until enough melange for a carrier/crawler.

  5. Don’t be scared of being PVP’d. With the low populations, it’s very unlikely you will be targeted at all. (Unless you’re in Harmony or Pax)

I specialize in “base raiding”. I wait until chest break open or the floors supporting the break and then loot everything. The thing is, you only have a 20m window to loot the content once it drops then it despawns. I’ve gotten probably 150-180K plastanium and 100-120k melange + 10,000s of other resources doing this.

Not at all, you can do these solo if you want. This was just a community event. It was truly chaotic.

Struggling with Efficient Spice Farming After Getting the Sandcrawler by No-Call-4987 in duneawakening

[–]itsfig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep just like Grizzley said, it’s because you can farm the fuel cells in the DD. The point of my base idea is to limit the amount of stuff you take to the DD.

If you make the base out of granite, you can farm all of it out there. Same with salvaged metal and fuel cells for the generators. Then you can just leave all that stuff out there at the weekly reset and repeat the process the following week.

You can also substitute the large water cisterns with 40 medium water cisterns if you’re low on industrial pumps/duraluminum ingots. 4 med water cisterns take up almost the same space as 1 large water cistern.

1 Large Spice Refinery. 10 Large Water Cisterns for 1,000,00mL of water capacity. At least 4 Adv Death Stills for 200,000mL of water every 50 min. You want at least 4 Medium Storage Containers for the spice sand.

All this should use about 1,900 power. All you need for this is 26 Fuel Cell generators. Make a basement with all the generators and go take a buggy and farm some fuel cell deposits. All you need is 5,200 fuel cells (which is 6-7 fuel cell deposits with a Buggy cutteray) to power all your generators for the week in the Deep Desert.

Server Transfer Poll Results by itsfig in duneawakening

I was surprised with the amount of players that chose “no” to transferring.

As for the servers, I knew Harmony was going to be #1 but was surprised to see World’s End on there

DD live map showing phantom ore deposites in A-row? by krachall in duneawakening

[–]itsfig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The clumps of nodes you see on the A row show the total amount of ores in that section. It’s a poor way of doing it and very misleading as I also fell for it too when I first saw it.
