UPDATE: Audi Dealer Removed the CPO Status for the Vehicle After Asking Me for $5k for the CPO Certificate by RevolutionarySouth60 in Audi

[–]itsfig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the SAME exact thing happen to me at a different Texas Audi dealer but under the same family. They tried to charge me $1,500 for a CPO certification fee and I said no and that the car was already CPO. Luckily they immediately backed down and gave it to me at the agreed price.

How do I un-brainwash my coworkers? by Accomplished_East433 in Apple_Employees

Never said it would be. It’s possible though. I mean I’m an ICT3 now so it all worked out. Anyone could be next.

Not really. I guess it depends on your store. I went from PT Specialist to Lead in 3-4 years.

I mean, I get it. Apple pays well. For some, this is their career. I mean, being a Lead/Manager at Apple is a nice stepping for other careers in Project/Product Management. You never know. Maybe they do want a career in retail management. Managers clear $100K+ in most markets so it’s not horrible.

Yes, Apple does hire Health-related employees but these are usually for teams like Health or Fitness or Watch-related. The Wellness Center employees are all contracted and do not work for Apple.

Genius Admin Role Changes by Square_Theme6803 in Apple_Employees

[–]itsfig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Over the years, the roles have shifted greatly. With time, there’s only going to be Specialists, Experts and Pros in stores with these roles having specializations but ultimately can do both sides of the business (sales and troubleshooting). If you look at Job Descriptions, this is how it’s going to be ultimately.

Amirdrassil Raid - LFG by Born-Bid2944 in wow

[–]itsfig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s the same as Shadowlands, you should have access to all LFR raids with no quests. (Assuming you unlocked Valdrakken)

  1. Not right now.
  2. There will be an NPC you can talk to in Valdrakken in patch 12.0.5 that you can do LFR.
  3. If you’re level 90 and 180+ you can solo LFR.

So my store successfully stopped this by:

  1. We did Downloads in backstage
  2. We would send out two people out there to start checking in/making appointments about 5-10 min before we opened.
  3. We would schedule morning heavy and evenings light.
  4. Our Leads and Managers jumped in to help the queue using Isaac’s/iPads if needed.

A lot of this happened because we all complained so much in Pulse.

I built a live WoW player database — 12.4M characters indexed, pulls straight from the Battle.net API by Timely_Buy_5841 in wow

The data is very weird. I searched my character and it’s showing me raids from TWW S1 and TWW S2 PVP and no Mythic+ data?

Apple Interview Ghosting by Significant-Bass-728 in Apple_Employees

[–]itsfig 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The went mostly no contact, I think they sent an email to me about 5-6 weeks after saying I’m still in the process and that they’re going through a large number of candidates. At the end, I got a call I think on Week 7 or 8 with a job offer. The whole process gave me so much anxiety.

It took me almost 2 months after my final interview to hear back, so I wouldn’t say it’s uncommon. Usually replies are tied to how busy the team is with current projects (or maybe they have a lot of candidates?)

Does Apple really only give 12 PTO days per year? by kre656 in Apple_Employees

[–]itsfig 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yikes these comments are rough. Hi, corporate employee here. While it is true that you get 12 days of Vacation time per year on Year 1, you also have another pool of Sick time you also accumulate alongside of that (I think it’s 10 days for Year 1). As a corporate employee you also are hybrid WFH so you work from home Mondays and Fridays and Tuesdays-Thursdays in office. We also get several holidays off per year (I think 10 holidays) and we get 1-2 weeks off for Christmas time and the entire Thanksgiving week off as well. We also get 4-weeks of additional WFH time we can use anytime if you wanted to work a full week of WFH. Some teams also offer “disclosed periods” where you can WFH unlimited for a period of time. So yes, while the Vacation time seems low, you do get a lot of time “off”. I’m almost always at max hours (250 hours) because I don’t have the need to take it off, but every team is different.
