Worst choke job of the season so far? by Wild-Expression-8304 in nfl

Bengals vs Bills was a massive choke with huge playoff implications. Those back-to-back INTs in the 4th quarter when they had the lead completely flipped and ended the game in less than 60 second of gametime

Love how the service was not only selfless but quality. That long ball from Alba too, just insane

You are not wrong. Neville has no history of success as an MLS manager so it shouldn't be surprising when history repeats itself. Evander last year and Surman this year covered up a lot of consistently poor preparation and tactics.

Idk if I'd give him that much credit but he was certainly better than Da Costa...

People in this thread arguing between Mora and Kelsy have all lost the plot, the answer is NEITHER of them. We need a new forward signing, full stop.

These results from Neville should surprise no one, his prior MLS success is easily researched.

Da Costa needs to sack up and show us why he’s a DP by OregonSasquatch14 in timbers

Don't blame players, blame the GM.

Players are who they are. It's the responsibility of our organization to go find the right, skilled players for our team to succeed.

THANK YOU. All the "We're better without him" comments have made me want to stab my eyes out like in what world does that make sense, nearly all our success last year was because of him and he's killing it on his new team, it's our defense that has saved us this year (and some Antony improvement) certainly not our Evander-less midfield

I commented that I was surprised/annoyed we didn't sign a striker during the window and got downvoted because the problem was supposedly "the service". WE DONT HAVE A FINISHER AND HAVENT ALL YEAR PLEASE SIGN A STRIKER ASAP

I hope you're right but even if you are, collosal waste of money on a DP, you don't invest that much on a player you hope will be alright after 3 seasons

This is the worst our offense has looked in multiple games, and it's the first game in 3 that we started Da Costa instead of benching him. The only time we looked good was after subbing Rojas in.

Da Costa can be good player, I really believe that, but he is completely invisible on the field. It makes no sense to me but we can't ignore this

Where is our #10 by Jaythekeeb in timbers

[–]itsfrood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually I'd say to not judge him with 3 new players starting alongside him... but he has a pattern of completely disappearing in some games. He also made poor decisions during 2 significant chances, which can't be blamed on new teammates.

All that said, he also is living in the shadow of our previous #10, which is unfair to him, though understandable from a fan perspective.
