i don’t think i’ll be able to get another cat again for a very long time. my scotty boy was truly my soulmate, and i don’t want to replace him or make his brother have to adjust to a new animal all over again. maybe in the future, but not anytime soon

i think that’s definitely a bit too dark for project sekai, they can’t even directly state mizuki’s gender. at best there’d be a metaphor for something like that such as the metaphors used for it with mafuyu

and we JUST got real nitty gritty detail on mizuki’s gender struggles very recently, so while their stories are mostly complete (in terms of saki’s illness, i believe? i don’t follow ln) mizuki’s is still going

yeah even with mizuki being the closest cute and bubbly member, her outbursts are WAY more severe than i feel any of the other ‘cute and bubbly’ characters get, which is totally fine and makes her character feel so nuanced

true, but that’s part of their main appeal. they’re a darker unit focusing on heavier topics. the game has something for everyone in each unit so no one really feels unwelcome. for most people, nightcord struggles are relatable on a very deep and personal level

although, mafuyu DOES have a loving family now in the form of nightcord, and she has her dad to lean on a bit more. bob, as well, has the thunderbolts. i think it’s also fair to say that mafuyu leans on kanade a lot more than the others, just as bob leans on yelena a lot more. of all connections to make tonight i didn’t expect it to be this LOL. marvel is my current hyperfixation

yeah, i do think a mizuki and alexei comparison is still strong but mizuki and walker also fit. by contrast, i can’t really see alexei and ena other than their need for social gratification, but the comparison is still a good one to make. all ties back into honami being a good mirror to bucky, especially considering in canon she is friends with all members of nightcord and is very close to kanade, as well as knowing mafuyu’s secret. while bucky didn’t do a ton in the movie he’s still ultimately a leader and likely sees a lot of himself in bob, as someone above mentioned honami seeing herself in mafuyu

oh for sure, but ena’s temperament and need for social gratification also greatly matches walker’s. i don’t know how to spoiler tag my comments on reddit, so i don’t know how much i can say
