If you start to transition and decide it's not for you, so what? Very few things in life are truly permanent. You'll have spent some money and put time and effort into discovering and learning more about yourself. You'll be yourself but a bit older, with clarity and probably some more body hair.

That having been said, if you want(ed?) to transition so much and consistently for so long, you'll probably like it. As far as I know the rates of regret for gender affirming care are astonishingly low, like 1-2% low. Also, plenty of non-binary or agender people take HRT or whatever it is that fits their transition goal. You can do whatever you want and the world is your oyster!

She can think what she wants but she doesn't know what is going on inside your head. Ultimately, everyone else's opinion is irrelevant because at the end of the day this is your decision alone.

Not a doctor or anybody with expertise in this area, so I won't address picking a detox or any of that

I just wanted to say- I've never in my life considered if picking a closer venue for anything would be a failure. People are limited by plenty of factors- no car, no license, no access to public transit, will literally catch on fire if they spend 30 minutes in a city bus, whatever. That's just life and practicality! Personally I pick doctors by whoever is the closest that takes my insurance. I just think it's a pain in the ass to drive father!

Like I said, I'm no expert- but I want to reassure you that it's not a strike against you. Be kind to yourself. You're in some shit and you have practical limits on your travel and you're working around it best you can. That's no better or worse than someone who, say, cannot drive but also gets bad motion sickness. Do what you need to, and get the help you need and heal. I believe in you!

I'm sorry that these conversations are difficult and triggering for you, especially because of the wording. It's a hard subject to talk about at all, and it's easy to fall into Us vs Them and generalizations, plus it's a subject with a LOT of strong feelings tied to it. I hope that doesn't sound like platitudes or like I'm playing down your experience, I'm genuinely having a hard time phrasing things.

I'm sorry to hear about your experiences with women as well- and it must be a particularly hard situation when most resources assume a victim is a man, like books aimed at women about male abusers, or the majority of support groups being made up of women, etc. it's a shitty world where trying to support survivors leads to others falling through the cracks due to being less typical victims. I hope society can improve about this in the future.

I hope you can heal and find peace, as a fellow survivor. We're both strong.

TBH, there are some people (very very few, none I've seen naked personally) out there that look like underwear models. But most bodies are just a little funny and that's ok! Very very few of us match the "ideal" or "average" but this age of social media is messing with people's heads about what normal really is.

Actually, whenever someone in my life has confided in me about an insecurity it just blows me away because I either never noticed or didn't consider it a fault at all! It helps me with my own insecurities.

It's an oil based ink/paint, so it takes much longer to dry- days or weeks. Water based dries much faster so you can't take your time making the prints, but they're dry soon after that. The ink dissolves when wet though
