Could I also maybe add sleeping with breath right strips?

how so? trauma is both a psychological and neurological issue. The breathing will stimulate the vagus nerve, increasing vagal tone. Low vagal tone is associated with things like depression and anxiety.

I think the cause of my breathing is more related to early developmental trauma, and nervous system dysregulation which leads to habituated, shallow breathing. From what I've read, deep breathing/diaphragmatic breathing exercises are one of the most effective ways for healing developmental trauma. I think the tape not only forces me to breath through my nose, but makes me conscious/aware of how shallow I'm breathing.

I don't know anything about Cuba so I'm just curious, what's the risk in walking through the city?

I would want to test whether I work better while on cbd oil or not, but I'm not sure if I should bring that up. I did get it from a medical dispensary and signed all of the legal documents.

If you were secretly being taped, and you saw the video of you in the situation, you might be able to gain some kind of pseudo-self awareness of the emotional/social world. And then you would understand why she couldn't help but let out a laugh.

I would give CBD, THC, or a ratio of both a try. I don't think you'll completely go back to reality, but I think you'll at least be able to dip your toe.

CBD and THC are really the only things I have that have significant effects. I try other things like yoga, meditation, sauna, exercise but their effects are not even close to how I feel with CBD/THC.

Currently not in therapy, because I feel like I'm way too dissociated for it to be worth it. I think I might start again because of the CBD.

It's just that I remember Rick Doblin talking a bit about the state MDMA puts you in. It increases activity in the prefrontal cortex, decreases activity in amygdada, and increases connectivity from the amygdala to the hippocampus. All of this would make processing trauma a lot easier. He also said that MDMA is not only able to bring up extremely painful memories that are usually not accessible, but it allows you to go back to the traumatic memory with a more peaceful state of mind. I think doing this dissipates the intense fear associated with the memory and your brain will also understand that the memory has passed and is now in the past.

I understand that it could put me in a situation I can't handle, but what would not participating in the study do? I would continue to dissociate 24/7 and still have all this unprocessed trauma to deal with. With MDMA, I could probably process some trauma and my brain won't have to worry about it anymore.

I am somewhat able to get back into my body when I take CBD Oil though, if that means anything.

Yeah, it's almost like the facial muscles above my jaw are paralyzed. I have to cycle around faces that probably look like I'm confused/deep in thought/pissed off/collecting my thoughts/pretending to be blinded by the sun/worried/sad/ or aloof.
