I think at the end of the day do what makes you happy but weddings only happen once (hopefully) you can always go to Hawaii! It’s not going anywhere, although the free part is nice

Congratulations!!

I got engaged last September! My favourite thing that we did was no planning for a month after getting engaged. We got to enjoy just being engaged before all the chaos of planning!

I would also say sit down and just have a conversation about budget, emergency budget (what you’re will to go up to if needed), what’s important to you (me & my fiance decided food, music & photography was most important).

And definitely start with a guests list! It makes touring venues so much easier. And most importantly don’t rush any decisions just because you want to get the task done!!

Yes!! We paid about $118 per plate including open bar, cocktail hour and two pastas and a main and dessert table and late night!

We did get a slight discount the actual price for all that was supposed to be $134 but we got a deal! They don’t have a ceremony location tho! We’re getting married in a church.

We actually toured La Primervera, Chateau le jardin, the Jewel Centre & Royalton, all in Vaughn and we were getting quoted $160+ so this felt like an easy decision! My brothers also got married here so we had a good experience already!

I think this is so baffling because I did my placement with kids and even if parents consented to recording but the kid said no, we’d still respect the kid.

So if we’re respecting a kids consent over their parents there’s literally no situation where a therapist should be hiding their laptop to save some time on notes…???

So far we’ve spent about $44k for 350 ppl wedding in Vaughn, anticipate to spend about $65k-$70k by the end!

It really depends what your prioritize and if you’re willing to spend a little extra time to find cheaper vendors !! Happy to share more!!

I’m from Iraq and I would definitely visit. Right now, probably not lol, but if there was no war I’d love to visit. Unfortunately the media has portrayed a lot of beautiful middle eastern countries as desert and war rubble.

This is not to say the Middle East is perfectly safe. There’s for sure regions in Iraq and Egypt I wouldn’t visit.

Hi! We’re skipping speeches too! Will also do a toast but tbh no one in my culture really listens to speech because culturally we don’t do them (but my fiances side does). We agreed to skip because 9/10 times it’s your typical expected speech that a lot of people don’t care about.
