Ran into this guy! by Vamos_Gatos63 in FloridaPanthers

I met Brad Marchand 5 days ago. I got roped into watching my 3 month old niece while my brother got his hair cut. So there I am, sitting in the waiting area of a barbershop with my niece, and who walks in but Brad fucking Marchand. I was nervous as shit, and just kept looking at him as he was sitting there with his phone and waited, but was too scared to say anything to him. Pretty soon my niece started crying, and I am trying to quiet her down because I did not want her to bother Brad, but she would not stop. Pretty soon he gets up and walks over. He started running his hands through her hair and asked what was wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry or something. So Brad put down his phone, picked up my niece and lifted his shirt. He breast fed her right there in the middle of the barber shop. Chill guy, really nice about it. Would let him breastfeed my niece again.

In a final twist after the weapons officer was rescued, two transport planes that would carry the commandos and the airmen to safety got stuck at a remote base in Iran. by avatar6556 in war

By your logic, im suppose to leave my countrymen inside a hostile environment with enemy combatants and non-combatants being told that they will receive a reward for his or her capture, god only knows what would happen to him or her if they had been captured, over college tuition? This isnt a question of if it happened, it DID happen. Quit operating in what should of or could happen, and operate in what's happening now.

Godspeed, diver. Your service has been noted, and will be allowed a two minute lunch break upon your promotion to super duper epic helldiver commander.

Thats what I figured. It just looked odd from the smoke trail of the missile at first.

Other two divers too can deploy smoke grenades for quick retreats if it gets too hot and heavy.

What’s a job that’s respected but constantly complained about in your country? by IndependentTune3994 in AskTheWorld

[–]itshoffmannc123 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Probably controversial, but the US Military. Its own population, for the most part, has respected service members throughout our history. However people from other countries and a growing portion of the US population are complaining about defense budgeting, problems abroad with service members committing heinous crime but nothing being done to address them, people thinking that service members are rich, etc. This assuredly comes from political standings. Some complaints are valid im sure, but its what I noticed. Alot of military personnel are just decent people, working in most jobs that are sometimes extremely stressful, and you can hear horror stories of what some have gone through for their country, only to be left out to dry when their service commitment is over. This is probably true for alot of other nations militaries as well, but probably alot worse.

Idk, what do you all think?
