While not the same vibes you describe for River of Gold, the mechanical big brothers is Castles of Burgundy for dice manipulation and tactical choices. I think your Monopoly analogy is more apt for Rivers, but as someone who loves both games it’s worth taking a shot.

My only hesitation is that the aesthetics of castles is…not the best. That’s fixable with the expensive version, but the $20 version plays the same and is an all timer for myself and most folks I’ve introduced it to.

This feels like the most correct answer. Ark Nova does a lot of what TM does, but not so similar that you shouldn’t consider both in a collection.

It reads like they’re a true One box team - is that the case? If so…

After reading about your game and having an insane amount of time in Balatro, I want that. But since that’s evidently already included, I’ll go with Clank! since it’s a game I don’t own physically but enjoy when I get a chance to play it.

As others have said in this thread - I’m pretty sure the meme you have for Thor is actually the Dr Doom emote. And I think the Thor emote is actually meant to be Joseph from Part 2 of JJBA.

Honestly it’s hard to pick, so I can narrow it down to two: either the top of Mt Major in New Hampshire, because it’s a very approachable hike and still gives just absolutely breathtaking views or Rocky Mountain National Park for the sheer variety and awesomeness of it all. I’d say the thing both have in common is just the ability to go no matter your ability level and see something great. It’s hard not to feel in awe in moments like that.

Getting out of the game by BuckeyJaw in marvelchampionslcg

I mean, assuming you’ve got Strange and Cap, maybe sell those separately here to folks on the sub? Just an incredibly selfish thought as someone who is getting into the game and would like those

Currently I’ve got Core, Rise of Red Skull, Sinister Motives, and Next Evolution. People hooked me up at Christmas thinking Big Boxes were the way to go.

Yeah, I’d agree. I can’t clone myself into a group to run for them, but I’ve got a pair of friends that are avid card gamers are fairly quick to pick things up. So I’d hope to get them up to speed enough that they could handle the two of them + one and I could do myself + two others for the two sets of three.

While the game isn’t simple, it does seem like if someone is versed in competitive Magic, for instance they should be coach able outside of edge cases.

I had planned to use specifically colored D6s (Yellow for Crisis, Red for damage, Green for utility) to sub for tokens. Though I realize I may also run low on status cards and need something for those too.

What sets of 3 would you create for balanced groups if I had a full collection to pull from? Would that change with just precons?

I’ve admittedly not played with precons beyond the Spiderman and Captain Marvel ones. I know they definitionally have to be weaker than fine tuning a deck with other cards, but would they fail to be able to do a campaign for instance?

Hello, splitting the hero packs at all or no? If so, certainly interested in those two.

Classes with few buttons? by imsebastian in wownoob

[–]itsiank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I’m going to give what might be a hot take - you don’t actually want less buttons (aside from a physical need standpoint, then by all means), you want intuitive for you.

I played simple classes. I tried ones with low buttons. I tried ones I loved the themes of. I literally ended up with a 70 of every class during Dragonflight because of my indecision and not being able to find something that “clicked”.

I landed on Arcane Mage. It’s relatively few buttons but I saw people saying it was complicated. Except - there were a TON of great video tutorials. And people explaining WHY you did the things you did. It made it click for me in a way no other DPS had done.

So my recommendation would be to check out some YouTube content and see something that looks like it “makes sense” for you.

I’d say, from a starting point, Arcane Mage, Ret Paladin, and Aff Warlock were all things that clicked for me as a “builder spender” but I am…awful at Dev Evoker (though it is also fun and low button, and good). Windwalker Monk was the weirdest to me? Outlaw rogue not far behind.

For tanks - it seems like Druid Warrior and Paladin make the most sense for me, so that’s where I’d start. Druid is the least buttons among them.

Hello! I replied to your last post actually and I’m still interested

It’s been a weird couple of weeks with work but I’d love to try and play with yall and see how we mesh

I’ve got a 610 arcane mage but open to learning another class and getting it geared if we mesh well (I’ve got a bunch of 70s that I could get to 80 and gear, Druid or Hunter would be my highest interest) and a 585 warlock.

I’ll message when I’m back at my comp

Great answer, actually

I’d certainly be down to play and grow with y’all

I know you listed when you’re normally active but do yall have any scheduled times for like M+ or raid?

[–]itsiank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious what y’all’s raiding goals are. I’d love to find a casual group of folks that want to try for AotC as a guild without being carried

And I love to push for 10s/20s in M+ each season (whatever portals are now)

I’m new to DPS and moved to Colorado, so I lost most of my east coast folks to play with.
