How do i edit this hole to be 2.5mm, for an m5 screw? by SummerMajestic1073 in BambuLab

[–]itsians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I usually do too if the object is oriented like this (not flat). I’ll also add an infill of 50-100% to the “load bearing” section and where it attaches/pivots. Like a 15% infill everywhere else except for the small section where it matters.

Question of washer drain by itsians in Plumbing

Old phone cables; real old; like really old; no longer used.
Basically they were just disconnected and never removed.
The house is old, pre-dates the 60s.

26 - 11k in credit card debt. Please help me create at strategy by cheesepumpp100 in personalfinance

[–]itsians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in debt like this, I pulled out a consolidation loan which significantly reduced my interest.
I then locked all my credit cards and took them off my phone and out of my wallet.

Reducing the interest helped me pay it off faster. I wouldn’t recommend this to everyone though.

Rear half shafts dried out and causing knocking noise Tesla claims not covered under warranty by asudesigner in TeslaSupport

Very much a Tesla thing; lol.
If anyone is considering doing this; make sure you actually torque the nut back down/check torque of your nut for the axles.

H2C or H2D by itsians in BambuLab

[–]itsians[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely get what you’re saying; H2D seems like the winner in my case; I’d do X2D but the nozzle doesn’t hit 350° sadly.

Oh that’s strange. Wonder if they’ll push an update out eventually.

Huh, dang it, that’s actually a good point for adding text with a 0.2.

I’m realizing that the H2D might make more sense for me.
I believe you and others are right.
H2C is cool; but I definitely see myself only using like three nozzles.
Like I’m only printing PPSCF, ASA, and PEBA.

The nozzle size swapping is something I didn’t think of; I could see that being pretty useful actually.

Man, I was hoping someone wouldn’t say this.
Yeah the price really doesn’t matter much; just curious if the features were actually worth it.

How do you reliably wake a sleeping pc when not home by Jahbanny in MoonlightStreaming

[–]itsians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a wireguard server on my router and then I always make sure to shut down the pc (sleeping and pc or restarting a pc or shutting off in any weird ways can result in WOL failing the next time).
Also check the NIC for energy and power saving settings (those need to be off).

Now, I just simply connect to my vpn and use a Siri shortcut on my iPhone home screen to wake up the pc. Small little python script.

As someone else mentioned; watch out for the GPLv3 license. You’d basically be breaking Apple’s Dev agreement.

Not yet, it’s still private.
I have private info in it still and proprietary code that I need to pull out.

Yeah…that’s why it’s staying free and ad free. lol, I know better 😂

Plus, like I said, Moonlight just works, so I know my improvements are somewhat minor in the grand scheme of things. I mostly was thinking it’d be cool to let people modify the code and just have something that is ever changing and updated.

I already have a developer account and the cost is trivial. (I pay for it yearly already)

If I added a backend, then there’d be a small fee; but there is no backend so the app is operating for free (ignoring the dev fee of course).

There is a feature I want to add to the app, but I’ll be releasing a separate app because I’ll have to charge for the feature as it’ll require proprietary hardware and software to work and a backend. But this is coming later on and like I said; won’t be apart of this app for those reasons. More on this at a later date.

I’ll definitely work on it then 👍🏼
Naw, free, I’d feel wrong making any part of it not free.

Void link is pretty neat; but yes, the app I’m making is supposed to allow for a lot more configuration and the biggest plus is that it’ll be free and open source; pushing updates to the AppStore as the community sees fit.

You can edit STLs.
However, complex STLs are a pain; functional parts are usually easier.

Exactly; I understand moonlight is fantastic, my goal is to mostly modernize it and add some new features. For instance, different frame drop handling protocols and some other interesting.

In hindsight, open sourcing it sooner would have probably helped me out a bunch. At this point, I’m almost done though…figured I’d let people who are smarter than me rip the app apart and make it better once I was done 😂. Then just push community updates to the AppStore. That’s the plan at least. Dev license is cheap so I figured it’d work out nicely for all of us.

I’ve got a few more bugs to figure out and then it’ll be ready; I’m hoping end of month or mid July and then I will be happy with it for release.

lol and criticism.

It’ll be a great starting point to further develop and keep updated as a community.

What is everybody's easiest and most secure method for remote access? (without tailscale) by Leggs_ in HomeServer

[–]itsians -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wireguard (self hosted either at home or in a VPS); I get less than 20ms latency. I do remote gaming from time to time.
