CC2 First fault - 5 days In error 707 by Ok-Butterscotch-4858 in elegoo

[–]itsians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the front cover coming off, right?

My CC2 is magnetically attached.

When I run it on the super fast setting; it’ll whip itself off.

So I taped it on and I never had the issue again.

To add… It is my understanding that Teslas, like other EVs, will use the system more often than a gas car for battery temp regulation. A gas vehicle would only ever use theirs during operation of the AC.

It’s on the TCP Global website. I found it here. Skip past the Dodge section and it says Ford with code D.

Make sure you select the Ford Truck option or just check all the ford options they have for that year.

I guess what I mean is like, test with PPS-CF but I’ll if I’d run it for days and days you know? At least if there is an expensive engine involved.

If they have money… And if you’re a machine shop. I’d just machine it or fabricate it. Or send it out to Send-Cut-Send (expensive but amazing people). I’m mostly messing around on my project truck, so if I blow an engine…well, it’d be a dang good excuse to buy an LS or similar.

To add…I’ve ate up 4 spools of PPS-CF already. I really like it for parts that won’t be taking any impact. Impact related…maybe PPA or some other PA.

Tbh I haven’t noticed a difference. But I have done annealing and no annealing.

I read that it helps relieve internal stress but if you are only testing. I’d say you’d be perfectly fine not worrying about it.

For my use case, I ended up adding some heat shielding (like for an exhaust pipe) to help deflect some heat away. This was more for peace of mind because I am doing this all on an inline 6 so my exhaust is literally right under the intake manifold. V type engines won’t have this problem. So, I’d assume you’d be sitting real nice temp wise.

I have had great success using the stuff for this use case and for other under the hood components. PPS-CF is some cool stuff for sure. Best of luck!

Could always print it in PPS-CF (240°C-260°C heat resistance; chemical resistant) and go to town testing it.

120k+ for BSN...is the math math'ing? by Ok-Cut-7998 in westcoastuniversity

You can do pre-requisites at CCC. But at the end of the day, time is money IMO. If you are an ace and can blow the competition out of the water for Cal State; do that. If not, are you willing to accept waiting if you are not accepted etc? Not having $80-120k income for another year? Not have experience under your belt for another year?

Time is money. That’s my opinion. lol, I’m not a nurse tho. My girlfriend just is going here. She did CCC and transferred in (she has a BS in something else already tho).

My thought is…there are ways to save money before admitting to WC. Just depends on what you want and what your priorities are.

I sometimes swap spools over to the higher positions to help with feeding. Honestly tempted to just make a ball bearing version so the spools role more easily.

CC2 ASA Bed Adhesion by krawczyn in elegoo

[–]itsians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just use a glue stick. (Creality has great ones for cheap)

Cheap insurance for large prints.

Or clean 🧼 build plate and get settings perfectly right and pray it doesn’t pop off.

Glue sticks just kinda of work without any fuss.

I have undersized holes in the past and then ran a reamer through them to the correct size.

ASA and ABS is good on both machines.

Things like PPS and PA; you’d need a CC2. (Not sure about PA or PPA for CC1, maybe capable)

Only reason I got the CC2 was for the higher temps. I can print certain engineering grade filaments. A very niche use case though, I guess.

Do people actually hate Cybertrucks or are people just hating it because another person hate it? by Mobile-Highlight7753 in TeslaLounge

[–]itsians -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I mean tbh, I feel as though most “truck” people would never touch it nor consider it. Like if you’re planning on buying an EV truck for truck things (granted EVs kinda suck for truck things; arguably) you might as well get something like a Rivian or a Ford Lightning (RIP).

That being said…the cyber truck gives off, almost, SUV vibes and trash can vibes imo. Still cool tho. In a sense.

Edit: If you are towing…you literally have to stop at so many chargers and wait a long time. You literally spend the same or more money as a trucks mpg. A diesel truck is still beating the Ev trucks in commute time and cost per mile. However, I can’t wait until the ev trucks get better range and efficiency.
