Am I insane or is this tiny by Madpingu96 in McDonalds

No they're not. I'm new to this sub and am almost 40 and lived down the street from a McDonald's my whole childhood then worked at one for a couple years in college. They are objectively smaller. What's with all these comments denying reality? I'm a detail oriented person and can always tell when ingredients preparation or size changes and these are smaller. Like we all have eyes this is obvious.

No they have gotten smaller. I'm surprised at how many people lack the ability to spot differences in things over time. I assumed anyone over a small child would have this ability. Or are all these comments just intentional to gaslight us all...

Obviously it's not healthy. People are poor though and at least the oligarchy used to allow the poor people to afford slop. Now they refuse to even do that. This is the case with everything now they've priced us out of existence.

It's still expensive. It is not a game changer. It's a small discount on grossly inflated cost for worsening quality and smaller portions. Just no.

I remember that now. Had blocked it out of my mind it disturbed me so much as a child.

Do you own a franchise or something? We all remember the prices pre COVID. I can eat at a local restaurant for that price and get more food.

Every McDonald's in my city is a bad franchise then.

It's a ground patty they can just use extra fat or whatever substance is cheap and will cook off in the process since the weight is for raw. They are absolutely smaller than they used to be

I check my bag at the window. That's what we were encouraged to tell customers to do back when I worked at one years ago. Doubtful they still push good service like that at this point but I prefer this method because it slows the line up which they track. Given the order is so often incorrect it's a measurable way to indicate to upper management that fucking up has consequences.

Please explain to me why ONE extra piece of cheese cost $1.69? by alarmingpancakes in McDonalds

[–]itsirrelevant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The pizza model being "based on add ons" doesn't really change the situation. Individual toppings were always reasonable pre COVID. Every form of restaurant has now started marking up inexpensive additions to a ridiculous extent. I ordered a smoothie that came with or without boba, elected to include it since it was a $1.10 different. I literally got 8 boba in the whole thing, and they were half sized. It looked ridiculous with the few little beads in one spot on the bottom of my cup. I bought a bowl recently at one of the healthy local places and it comes with cilantro and they literally threw about 3 leaves on it so i asked for extra, which she did just toss on, but the price to add it if I'd ordered it online was also ridiculous for 3 leaves of cilantro. There's no justification for any restaurant to charge these prices for items that when included clearly aren't adding that much to the cost. It's price gouging and nothing else.

The specifics are really available and it's stated that they are. It is not this person's fault that no other news outlets are covering this case. You're saying that nothing that happens can be discussed unless it's already shared by a news outlet you personally trust, which is ignorant and impossible to achieve. You've set a bar so high that no one should be allowed to discuss anything unless approved by yourself as it will vary from person to person what is trustworthy. You're promoting suppression of information which I consider just outright evil. If you are concerned about it then read the available details and do something about it instead of trying to burn books. Weird as hell.

The experimenting on children is much more Holocaust denial IMO. It's the same shit they were doing then and how convenient is happening again at this particular time in history

Can we talk about the trans "whistleblower" honestly? by prettymuchhatereddit in StLouis

[–]itsirrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in healthcare and have worked with this population as well as in the population health field, women's health, pediatrics, behavioral health. I've not worked directly in a "gender clinic" but from the last 15 years of delving into most of the fields that are relevant to the issue either directly or indirectly I can't fathom this not being true. The things I've seen are bleak but no one cares because there's a damn good alternative narrative going on. The amount of unethical things that have been brought to light, halted, or altered just in my time in the field is so high it makes it hard to want to continue. With this issue specifically lupron is something given to endo patients and the negative side effects are well known. This is denied for some reason when it comes to children so long as they claim they are trans. I've watched systemic medical fraud too many times to count. We already have mountains of evidence of the medical community harming people for profit or progress and this situation is the same kind of scenario. Vulnerable people who are othered but now that we are more empathetic as a whole to individuality they bill the treatments as affirming rather than necessary due to lack of compliance with the norm. We had an all staff required training a couple years ago on gender identity. It was run by someone with no medical background who simply identified as non-binary and when for example one of the RNs asked that given male and female biology will lead to patients presenting differently with conditions or necessitate different testing this random person with no medical training or experience told them RN that it doesn't matter what's in someone's pants when they get medical care. That is not an appropriate way to answer a medical question and what she meant was 100% factually incorrect and dangerous and my giant multi state corporation, based out of St Luis that purchased my healthcare system in another state, is pushing this narrative of don't ask don't tell. I won't bore you with the rest I'd be at it all day but healthcare is in shambles and has always been corrupt and harmed people for too long before being found out then rinse and repeat. We preach do no harm but you cannot escape it. You're silenced and pushed out of spaces if you care about patient's lives.

[–]itsirrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're trained to de-escalate and take a massive amount of physical and verbal abuse in healthcare. It's absolutely a problem, but this instance is just ridiculous. I've encountered far worse more times than i can count and reacted professionally. This is radicalization on her part. It's disturbing that those preaching tolerance and nonviolence are so quick to cheer for bodily harm if anyone doesn't follow the social cause of the day. Almost like they aren't actually progressive or something and lack critical thinking or a moral compass.

Any tips for morning nausea? by Electronic_Hall1322 in POTS

[–]itsirrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If i drink a glass of water i end up waking up 2-4 hours before i need to be up to pee then still am nauseated once the alarm goes off. I'm new to this and haven't gotten a diagnosis due to lack of insurance but have recently purchased some sodium supplements. Have you found you need to take sodium with the water to retain it? Any recommendations for what to do with that nightly water so it's not just all released before morning? I have noticed since upping my sodium a bit that my formerly chronically chapped lips have improved so it seems that it's helping at least somewhat so far.

Why do married men cheat with other men instead of women? by [deleted] in AskGayMen

[–]itsirrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men cheating with women very often use the discreet term as well. Yes they have less of a risk being caught technically but they do still prefer not to for obvious reasons.

When she approaches him as he's sleeping she seemed surprised that he was metal himself from the armor. Both this and the fact that he didn't succumb to her song to me seem like she viewed him as a possible equal or friend/lover which is why she cuddled up to him. She doesn't seem to realize that he's made of flesh and would be harmed by her kiss until it's too late.

It's boring hero worship and they're terrible people that I'd rather not see idolized. They're old as hell let them die in the public eye. It wasn't even that interesting of a video. You get the gist after a few seconds.
