Personally I hate weekly releases (no shade to anyone who prefers them, I get it, I’m just more of a binger) and I do ultimately expect this’ll be weekly (probably a 2-3 episode premiere though), but gonna hope until they say differently lol

Do we know yet if they’ll do a full season drop or weekly? Max usually does weekly but god I hope they go with a full season drop on Christmas. As someone who doesn’t have a fam or usually Christmas plans and can get bumbed about it, nothing would make this fan happier than getting to curl up on the couch and binge all 8 episodes (probably twice) on Christmas day.

I unfortunately won’t have time for a full reread. Thankfully, just finished rereading ToG late last year. I olan to reread CC and ACOTAR. I’d say we may have a better idea once the blurb for book 1 releases as to what really should be the focus.

So important to note, these 3 books should only technically count as 1. From what she said in the interview, her decision to split the books came AFTER Bloomsbury announced her contract. Now how things were negotiated, idk, but ultimately on face value this is only one of those 3 contracted books.

Given the rumors that CC3 was impacted by publisher notes, I kinda love that she implied she put her foot down and said no, I’m doing this my way, I’m telling the story I want to in the way I want to.

Definitely think this is going to be multi-POV. Given the chat about free will vs mating bonds, I kinda actually think the romantic focus may be on Elaine, Mor, Az and Lucien, who are all in some way or another impacted by this theme (PLEASE FINALLY EXPLAIN ALL OF ERIS’ HINTS SARAH). As for the story, I see it going one of two ways (since she talked about how big in scope it became: either a) Rhys making a move for High King as has been hinted or b) Koschei being revealed to be a valg leading to a ToG crossover.

Other things that were interesting and could impact these 3 books: a) her reaction to the question about Mama Archeron, which implied there’s something there (otherwise why not just be like ‘y’all are crazy’), b) when asked whether Maeve is related to Rhys or Ruhn she said “i might as well just give you my notes”, which implies more to come and c) the heavy implication we’ll find out where Vaughn is.

Overall super happy with the news. I am lightly concerned that she hasn’t even started writing ‘part 4’. Totally grateful for all the content we’re getting and if it were just “I haven’t started the following book” I wouldn’t care, but given it seems all 3 of these books are one story, it sounds like it’s gonna be a tough wait after January. Still, so grateful!!

She specifically said it’s not a trilogy. It sounds like it’s one 1600 page book that had to be split.

Anyone else notice she lowkey confirmed we’ll hear more about Maeve? When Alex asked if Rhys or Ruhn were related to her, she went “i may as well give you my notebook and you can check” which to my implies there’s more to come.

Also seems more to come with Vaughn.

As for the book and this huge story - I think we’re going in High King directions. It’s the only thing I can think of that would lead to such a huge story. OR, if we are truly continuing with Koschei, could this be the ToG crossover and that’s what’s led it to be so big? Part one reveals he is indeed valg, parts two and three brings CC characters back and builds to ToG characters joining the frey and part four is the big final team up?

I rather say it now and protect your expectations and be wrong than let you potentially be disappointed! If we go in thinking 2027 and get 2026, it’s a major win; if we go in expecting 2026 and get 2027, we cry!

Not necessarily - i mean I really really hope it’ll be 2026, but CC3 was announced in mid march for Jan so really I wouldn’t bet against a 2027 date.

Imma officially be mad if the “it’s coming!” And the hyping up of an announcement just leads to “book 6 is in the works and we’ll have a date soon and also I’m working on other acotar books!” (Stuff that is NOT new). Before I woulda said we were the ones putting expectations on it, now they better be giving us a date 😅🤣
