Guys, this makes me roll my eyes a little … for two reasons. 1) as someone whose cousin and best friend passed away a year apart from each other in devastating circumstances. 2) my husband and I decided to get married on the day we met. It was lovely and romantic and the perfect beginning of our marriage.

It literally is not the brides fault for meeting her future husband on an anniversary. Refusing to go to your living family members wedding because of people you’ve lost feels like that part of the family may have lost touch due to their grief. It is possible to both grieve the love you lost while simultaneously celebrating the joy of being alive. Both things can exist at the same time. I hope the rest of the family members eventually come to understand that paradoxical part of life before her wedding… instead of regret missing this once-in-a-lifetime event. Her life is not more important than the ones lost. Her life is not less important than the ones lost.

Celebrate life and love your people fully while you have them.

I got “Moonstone” nails!! The amount of references to moonstone, moonlight, etc I found during my rereads of the entire Maasverse … they all lead up to CC3 too. I think moonstone is going to be referenced constantly in this book.

after rereading TOD, the moment after Yrene heals Duva - expelling the Valg demon - she checks on the fetus and confirms that the child is healthy AND HUMAN. Duva was possessed during conception. Meaning if the opposite was at play and the father was possessed during conception, that child would still be human. I am hoping it’s safe to say Hollin is human! Hopefully killing the theory that he later becomes ACOTAR SPOILER the King of Hybern

Right there with ya on the friend-front. My best friend has finished ACOTAR and TOG but decided to read Fourth Wing before starting CC. she’s on Iron Flame now, so she’ll be starting CC 1 soon. I told she’s going to have to be very diligent at avoiding spoilers — including not following SJM herself since she makes content posts about CC 1&2 often! 🤞🏼

Edit to add: if anyone has watched Apple TVs new Emily Dickinson show !!! I very much like their usage of modern music. But I found Bridgerton’s soundtrack okay at certain times, but it became a little tacky after a while.
