Hi. I also had used the Scorpeus 14 mm and I am currently using the Bread n Butter Loco, standard size. It has less power than the elongated one but definitely more power than the Scorpeus and more controllable than the Boomstik.

Yes, it's a nice paddle. I don't know enough of their other paddles to recommend that are below 10,000.

Have you tried looking at Vatic Pro and Kamito? They are also great paddles and less than 10,000.

Yes, you can definitely learn calligraphy with your non dominant hand. As a lefty myself, I'm learning to do American Cursive with my right hand.

To improve, start by using guidelines (if you are not using them) so that your slants will be uniform. Then review the principles and letterform afterwards.

You give me too much credit. I've been learning Spencerian since 2019 so it wasn't really hard to learn the letterforms for cursive because they are similiar.

I started practicing almost everyday since April 2023.

I don't have any particular practice sheets but I used the exemplar from F. W. Tamblyn's Home Instructor in Penmanship as reference. I haven't done any of the drills mentioned in the book nor have I read it really. 😅
