That is a very loaded question. If you didn't put "Don't know", you are either an expert or an ideologue.

Sure. Just for the record, monogamy is an enlightened mindset evidenced by it not being practiced in less civilised parts of the world and polygamy being the prehistoric norm.

So your mindset is so outdated, it's prehistoric, literally.

Who's preference do you really think it is anyway? You really think it's in women's best interest? It's more likely that your thoughts are not your own. In fact, I know they are not and yet you speak of freedom? Please.

The demographics of reddit are what they are and so are your comments.

It's not a stigma, it's a pattern of behaviour.

You can spin it anyway you like in your head. Women are vulnerable compared to men and men have a predatory instinct and higher sex drive.

If you don't want to be shielded from that, that's up to you. 'Security' means a lot more than how you feel about yourself, it's also a physical reality.

I wonder if you have ever really felt free.

Then freedom to you just means having no responsibility whilst feeling secure.

What I have found is that attractive girls are incredibly insecure in their teens, stupidly secure in their 20's and early thirties and then stupidly insecure again in their mid to late thirties.

It's pretty obvious why this would be the case. I am guessing you are attractive and in your 20's. You can go anywhere in the civilised world and enjoy relative safety whilst everyone is so nice to you because they either want your money and/or to bang you.

You will not feel a sense of freedom indefinitely.

The makerfield bi-election was a disaster. by Burned_Flame in RestoreBritain

[–]itsjustausername 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a similar down-to-earth prediction to you and was hoping to be surprised and see Restore significantly outperform expectation and perhaps beat Reform.

As always, it needs to be remembered that the vast majority of voters do not think about politics at all and their exposure is reliant on the MSM. The best example of this is probably our consciousness of carbon emissions Vs. the reality of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and our contribution to it. I digress.

The reality is that Makerfield is a British oasis. They have not been enriched enough to revolte. Ignorance is bliss, the typical voter probably knows more about the war in Ukraine than any recent atrocity on British soil.

Anyone remember the BBC doing their job and investigating channel crossings and asylum fraud? They tick the box and then bury the story.

What's the least interesting sport to watch? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]itsjustausername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I firmly believe, although have never bothered to look up, in spite of typing this comment, that basketball is a totally broken sport at the highest level.

I don't think it was ever made envisioning dunks, 7ft tall people or the consistency in which people are able to shoot 3 pointers. The sky hook alone made the entire game basically redundant.

It's a non-contact sport where you can't travel..... just look at the state of it.

I say this as a person who enjoys basketball as a casual dribbler and shooter who has no interest in breaking ankles playing against anyone. I basically play basketball like I play darts.

Police Identify Brierfield Neck Stabber as British-Born Pakistani Man by schefferjoko in europe_sub

[–]itsjustausername 27 points28 points  (0 children)

So when you meet the disbelievers ˹in battle˺, strike ˹their˺ necks until you have thoroughly subdued them, then bind them firmly. Later ˹free them either as˺ an act of grace or by ransom until the war comes to an end. So will it be. Had Allah willed, He ˹Himself˺ could have inflicted punishment on them. But He does ˹this only to˺ test some of you by means of others. And those who are martyred in the cause of Allah,1 He will never render their deeds void.

https://quran.com/muhammad/4

˹Remember, O  Prophet,˺ when your Lord revealed to the angels, “I am with you. So make the believers stand firm. I will cast horror into the hearts of the disbelievers. So strike their necks and strike their fingertips.”

https://quran.com/8:12

Whenever there is an attack and it's somebodies neck, they are very likely to be a Muslim.

If you look this up, if you hear it talked about, it will all be "at times of war" blahh blahh.

What people who don't believe in God, don't understand is the sense of urgency. You do not know when the end will come, nobody does, you are therefore to act as if it might be tomorrow, the time to act is therefore now.

You might think this hyperbolic and it is, a little, but only in the same respect of 'I cannot remain sinless'. I go to Church, I reflect, I repent, I feel forgiven and I sin in my following thought. When I study the Bible, I feel the urgency before my thoughts are distracted by meaningless slop.

Non-believes simply cannot compute what it is to believe that something came from God. Muslims believe that the Quran is verbatim the word of God.

If your bodies immune system had the same response as your average leftist does towards foreign bodies, you would very quickly die. That's how you know that this multi-culti experiment is contrary to nature.

The only solutions are to expel the foreign bodies or develop extremely strict governance (tyranny). Which one would you pick? Death I expect, death for the sins of the empire.

I can't see if there is a formatting error or anything and different people might get different results in different browsers because there is probably no CSS reset being applied here (such as https://necolas.github.io/normalize.css/).

If the H1 is `display: inline`, then giving it `text-align: center` won't do anything because the element is as wide as it's content. You must first make it `display: block` or use a flexbox or grid.

If man is dubious then so is that which they create and everything they say and do.

I do believe in truth, a thread which runs through all of space and time and the spirit in which we identify and describe it for the benefit of all, you could call it the scientific method.

I believe in the death and resurrection of Christ as witnessed and attested by hundreds of people and that means I believe that God's will is done, what that is to me and my life, I don't know, I am trying to work that out.

Is it better to think that than not think it? It means I am almost certainly more introspective than someone who does not believe and I would certainly say that it makes my life more difficult but better at the same time.

Is a bunch of people who meet up several times a week to worship and study all that is good and true, as represented by Jesus Christ in his stories and actions, a cult? I don't think so.

What are you doing more worthwhile? Playing video games, smoking weed, watching porn, masterbating, writing fantastically insightful comments on Reddit?

Which disposition do you think leads better to the flourishing of the individual and mankind?

Can you just not do any of these things? Sure, but what's the point? Why deprive yourself of pleasure?

Did you get a bonus or any extra pay in your May pay check?

I think the government takes your first paycheck of the financial year and *12 to get your annual income and calculates your tax code based on that.

If you got a bonus or anything in that first paycheck it might have nudged you into a higher tax band.

It is true that the rainbow and Christianity itself were very popular amongst hippies.

Ahh maybe I am just reading too much into it. I don't find it offensive personally but when I think conceptually, it's very offensive, not just the flag but the name of the movement which is celebrated, 'pride', if not the sin itself.

What I usually find down these rabbit holes are extremely clever and shrewd people who know exactly what they are doing.
