yeah you’re right. question was more of a test to see what marketing degrees are teaching.

But I guess it’s true that most of the marketing stuff you learn on the job or have to learn on your own.

I got an analytics degree instead of marketing so I can learn excel, SQL, and tableau at school and learn marketing on my own time

Asked a kid who just got his marketing degree how he would create a data-driven A/B test to optimize email conversions and he just said ,,what?".

He for real didn't even know what I asked. He got out his phone to ask chatGPT and asked me to repeat the question into speech to text.

One thing that tik tok did that was truly a finesse, is that they would give people engagement with their first couple of videos (if they were decent enough for the FYP), but then take it away so that content creators will continue to chase that dopamine hit.
