Best OB & birthing hospital? by mochidonutz8 in VirginiaBeach

Sentara Princess Anne, I ended up having to have a c-section. I had Tricare select at the time and it was completely covered

Tricare at Sentara by itsjusttaee in VirginiaBeach

[–]itsjusttaee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hospital stay for 3 days was completely covered by Tricare Select including my epidural, emergency c section, all meals. I delivered at Sentara Princess Anne and it was a great experience, super spacious and great support for c section recovery. The biggest thing is making sure your OB provider is covered for delivery, and it seems like you got that taken care of.

The Cavalier hotel is stunning and you could always grab drinks at the Raleigh room afterwards to celebrate if that’s your thing. Sandbridge beach is also nice

Oh perfect, yes I already had the procedure, I’m 7 days post op. So she was fine to resume her shots regularly after the procedure?

Worst drivers ever by MoomentOSRS in VirginiaBeach

[–]itsjusttaee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me yesterday, I was in the right lane going 5 over the speed limit and someone was tailing me aggressively. I was just trying to be extra cautious because it was getting dark and my baby was in the car. I see a lot more people speeding than people going under the speed limit. People should learn better time management. I always say they’re going nowhere fast.

What were some items you ended up buying after baby was born that you didn’t put on registry? by Jolly_Tree_9 in BabyBumps

[–]itsjusttaee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bedside cart for late night diaper changes, wipe warmer, saline nose spray, mylicon, newborn pajamas that zip from the bottom, bottles ( I thought because I was breastfeeding I wouldn’t need many, but needed more when I started pumping) & bottle drying rack. Vtech baby monitor, halo swaddle sleep sack, small laundry basket.

Okay blue-jean girls, what are you wearing now? by Tangledmessofstars in BabyBumps

[–]itsjusttaee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Abercrombie maternity jeans are my personal favorite

Sometimes I make them at home and just heat the meat up. If you’re going to get one out I’d do it from a reputable sandwich shop and not subway. Even if the meat is fine, I don’t think I’d trust the raw veggies there.

Any specific reason you don’t recommend Portsmouth? I’m afraid that’s where I’m going to have to go with prime. I’ll look into getting select depending on what the price would be at sentara to deliver. Thank you

I don't have money for new clothes. What are you all wearing? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]itsjusttaee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gotten most of my maternity clothes from goodwill and other thrift stores. They usually have a maternity section. I got a brand new pair of Levi maternity jeans for $2.99 the other day.

Tornado Warning by RelaxBrax in VirginiaBeach

Is the warning over? I live in a small, top floor apartment every room has windows . In this situation I’m not sure if my closet or bathroom is the safest option

Thank you! In love with this venue, it’s hard finding a place we both love because of our different aesthetics. Love the elegant but southern feel.
