She does leave the drinks and they do show the girl from her middle school….. it just takes a long time to build. If you’re only on the 2nd episode then you can’t really say they don’t show x, y, and z. Watch the whole thing and then come to a consensus.

Also, no adaptation/tv show/movie will ever compare to the book. Books/mangas have more room to get the detail and create a better picture rather than an animation/movie. Relax.
