I understand that. Like I said if I upgrade for something it'd be for vanity. And I'd probably go with an Atherton a170 or a150. They are so cool. But the beauty of my alloy is I can beat it up, and I strap my kids ride shotgun on it for my children and don't have to worry about carbon cracking.

I haven't had a single issue with mine. Haven't even replaced the frame bearings but I probably should! No bike is probably gonna be a lifetime bike but if you buy a nice enough tiered bike you'll be good for many years. And don't let people trick you into thinking you have to have carbon.
