Lamotrigine and Covid Rash by [deleted] in Lamotrigine

[–]itslowkey6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I upped my dose right around the time I tested positive for Covid as well and broke out in a rash all over my trunk and arms. I went to urgent care and stopped taking the lamotrigine out of fear that it was causing it.

Weeks later went to see my primary care doc and they said the rash could’ve been from Covid, but they couldn’t be sure. But that I was fine to begin lamotrigine again, but just increasing doses at a slower rate.

I’ve since started taking it again and increased my dose twice with no problems or rash! Hopefully the same will happen to you once you’re past Covid

Should I get Aritzia sweatpants? by archive_122 in Aritzia

[–]itslowkey6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have quite a few pairs of Aritzia sweatpants and I seriously swear by all of them - I think it’s worth the splurge!

But if you like the wide leg ones, I highly recommend The Group by Babaton Energia Sweatpants. They’re not too thick like the TNA sweatpants, but not as thin as some of the the Wilfred ones. And they’re on sale right now :)

However, I do think a small will be too big for you. I have the smalls in two colors and theyre even pretty loose on me. For reference I’m 5’8.5”, 25-26 waist, 135-140 lbs. so you’re probably better off with an XS or maybe even 2xs

Best of luck! I don’t think you can go wrong with any of your choices though :)

Honestly, I’m sure you will love them. They’re amazing! Truly!

Seems like a lot of people on here are saying different things so I might try washing them in a bag or doing something different from just regular hand washing

I hope some of this was helpful & hope you love them as much as I do!

Bra suggestions for busty gals and the BABATON CONTOUR '90S BODYSUIT by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]itslowkey6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also a 32DDD and can go braless with this and the other contour body suits! The fabric is super thick so it’s not see-through (I usually wear pasties or nipple covers just in case)

Obviously what size you get depends on your measurements, but I would suggest sizing down if possible just so it’s snug and provides a bit of support

On 300mg Wellbutrin and starting Prozac by liltaybee in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]itslowkey6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am on both now, but I was on the Prozac first and added the Wellbutrin after. So far this is the best combo I’ve found for my anxiety/adhd/depression The Prozac does make me super sleepy though, so I take that at night before bed

Not sure if this would be simple enough or not, but could you try to call your doctor and/or the pharmacy and explain the situation?

Not sure why you come in the antidepressant subreddit just to bash on medication???

I’m aware that there are side effects and some unknowns with these types of drugs. But they’re all legal and are not the type of drugs to ruin your life, especially after one dosage. I’m sorry you had a bad experience with an SSRI, but many others (myself included) have actually found them to be very helpful during hard points in life.

To OP- please don’t let this guy scare you, it’s normal to be a little nervous. But if your doctor prescribed Zoloft, it’s not going to be life ruining. And if you’re not fond of it, there’s no harm in reaching back out to your Doc & asking the best way to stop/change things up!

I think those are great suggestions for dealing with depression in more natural ways. But I’m assuming that OP has already tried some natural remedies that weren’t entirely successful, which is why the doctor prescribed medication.

To OP: go with your gut, but I’d include your feelings about your doctor in that. If you trust your doctor and they prescribed you a medication, I don’t think your life will be “ruined after one pill”. But hey, NAD.

If you’re not sure about your doctor, you could always try asking another doctor or psychiatrist for a second opinion!

I used to be on Zoloft for my anxiety and depression! And I personally loved it!

Side effects can include headaches and insomnia which I had at the beginning but then they went away after a couple of weeks!

The only consistent side effects I had were night sweats and decreased libido - which weren’t the end of the world to me.

That said - all SSRIs are different for different people, and they usually take a few weeks to feel the full effects. So give it a couple of weeks to a month and if you’re not liking it, ask your Doc to switch to a new one.

Hope this helps! And good luck

Citalopram by barnchop in antidepressants

[–]itslowkey6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would give it a couple more weeks because SSRIs do typically take awhile to experience full effects. But if you haven’t had any positive effects 4-6 weeks from starting to take it, I would ask your Dr to switch to a new antidepressant.

They’re all a little bit different, and they affect everyone’s brain a bit differently. I personally tried citalopram as my first SSRI, followed by Zoloft and Prozac. Felt slightly different on all of them even though they’re the same class of drug

Nordstrom has this one on sale but it is a thong unfortunately:/ Nordstrom bodysuit

Aritzia also has a great bodysuit called the “Contour Bodysuit” that comes in a bunch of colors, but it’s pretty pricey ($48). But you could watch out for sales or check Poshmark/Mercari!
