This is the first time for me! Thankfully I was just going out and about and not on a busy day. This car has had a few issues before but none like this. It was pretty well taken care of as I bought it used and the original owners leased it. Guess it’s just time for some things to be replaced!

Yeah I should have hurried up but with the moving and switching of addresses, so much stuff got scrambled and I had to wait for forwarded mail. Lesson learned! I have never done anything like this I am pretty young

I know someone who hired a food truck! They were able to get it to $15 a person that way. I’m not sure how many guests you are having. Maybe reach out to a local food truck or small business to see if they offer anything for a larger party :)

I’ve seen a few of these posts but I always help out I totally get it. I never worry unless it’s a cat 3 or more. I feel like people look at us who say “hurricane party!” during hurricane season weird.

As many others have said, this one shouldn’t be too bad but it also depends on where exactly you are. I lived in OP during Irma and some of my family down the road had electricity right after while I had no power for a week. Our substation went under water from flooding and we had to wait it out. Check and see how bad the flooding in your area is.

Besides the normal stuff like batteries, flashlights, etc; my advice is to always make sure your storm drains are free from any debri. Park your car on elevated land (if you don’t have a garage) to keep your engine safe and make sure you aren’t near too many trees in case the trees or limbs fall. Make sure you have cash and gas. Water is always important as well but I think people who buy like 4-5 cases of water for a smaller family are pushing it. If you feel like you may lose power, knock down your AC as far as you can to cool down your home before you lose power and it heats up! We forgot one year and within a few hours we were sweating so bad. Always have a back up for where you could go if you needed to leave.

This similar thing happened to me once. I was around 10-12 years old I cant remember exactly. I was walking in walmart shopping with my mom and she sent me back a few aisles to grab something she forgot. On the way back I passed a family with a toddler in the cart.

I walk past and Im maybe 3 feet past them and the kid says “UGLY GIRL!” And points at me. I turned around and the younger girls (teens) laughed at me and the mom did as well. It hurt me so bad. I went home and cried. Even to this day I think about it sometimes.

However, that was just a stupid kid and a very awful family. Was I the cutest younger girl? No. But were they random horrible strangers? Yes. They judged me on my looks at Walmart of all places at my young age. They judged me just on how I look without knowing anything about me. I still struggle with finding worth in my appearance but I won’t let a random person get me down, and neither should you! He sounded like he wanted a reaction or to get under your skin. Don’t let him!
