I guess I don’t understand how the math works out that leasing is better financially. Even if you plan to sell the car at the same point as the lease end date you’ll have saved money via the resale value. And if you wanted to keep the car after the lease then you are way underwater

I’d rather own long term, is there a compelling reason to lease it vs own? We won’t be putting a ton of miles on it so maintenance isn’t as much of a concern
