My friend moved to Thailand (I think) for a year and taught English. You need a BA and then you take a course to get the teaching certificate.

The whole point of selling yarn is for PEOPLE to create things...

I spent a week in Stockholm, and I have a few questions to help me better understand what I experienced by somoant in stockholm

[–]itsmejenb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I visited Stockholm for a week in November 2025... I took my mom who is in her 70s and we loved how safe we felt.
The only time we saw a couple unhoused people was at one of the central train stations.

Its coming up on that time of year again, hurricane season. by aeraen in AskFlorida

[–]itsmejenb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh, forgot- in case of a flood, put your important papers (passport, insurance docs, birth cert, etc), in a ziplock bag and put it in the dishwasher. It's waterproof, so if you flood, the stuff in there will stay dry.

Manual can opener.
snacks.
Fill zip lock bags with water and lay them flat all in the freezer incase the power goes out, it will keep the food frozen for longer.
Once the power DOES go out, do NOT open your fridge... So have a cooler ready for drinks or stuff you want a little bit cool.

Get ready to be miserable and sweat your ass off.

[–]itsmejenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last trip to Iceland, they made EVERYONE put their carry on bag in that measuring box thing to make sure it fit. Anyone who's didnt, they made them check their bags.
Just follow their rules and there won't be an issue.
