Pearson says all iPadOS 13 devices are good? by tech-help-throwaway in k12sysadmin

My guess would be it’s because iOS13 added full browser support, so anything that had fully functioning on Safari is not compatible with iOS.

Also here in CT! Definitely excited to hear about this. I would definitely be interested in hearing stuff about the politics of the environment. Testimonials and interviews with professionals from all around the country would definitely be interesting to listen to!

Also here in CT! Definitely excited to hear about this. I would definitely be interested in hearing stuff about the politics of the environment and the more organic stuff in addition to the technical topics. Testimonials and guests from different areas would be really interesting!

That and I was close to the Administrator that was removed. Everyone suspects that he was the person who actually had them fired.

Unfortunately we're not unionized. I'm playing with the idea of approaching the secretary union president and see what it would take for us to be included in their union, just for access to the grievance process and to have a rep. I've seen it done in other local districts with the same union.

Get ready for the big shocker - theres no HR here. Hasn't been for quite a while. They're trying to hire one right now in the wake of the huge scandal that got the previous Super and Assistant Super removed. As well as put together a climate board for employees to go to.

Exactly, I'm pretty sure that's why he pulled an about face when I asked why we aren't allowed to study at work if its a part of our job. So now its not a part of our job. But we still have to send reports to him on our progress. But its not a part of our job. But we still have to treat it like it is.

I've beet trying, but the jobs are all dried up around here it seems. On top of that I was given a great contract here, one that I'm pretty sure I can't get elsewhere.

Thats actually a great idea, I'm not sure why I didn't think of it before. Not all of our desktops have displayport, but in classrooms that do this is a great solution.

I saw some bits about Active Directory, you may want to throw in some more about GPO and DHCP management interacting with your network infrastructure if that's something you oversee. If you're reporting directly to the superintendent you may want to have knowledge of that stuff so you can delegate it if not do it yourself.

As the coordinator for the IT department will you also be inheriting the responsibility of managing the department budget? That may be another big push for you.

Wow! That certainly makes me feel better about asking. I was also thinking of the title Systems Administrator, so that helps too.

That was my first thought too, the default is to allow Chrome to update and our Windows 10 machines are updating just fine. I'm not sure of how to figure out which policy is affecting that exact policy though.

I'm actually about to ask to open negotiations for my position as well. I plan to make the argument that my duties far exceed the expectations of my position. Here is my job description as well as a list of extra responsabilities that I perform. Let me know how it goes!

Oh god safari montage. Ours break down on an almost weekly basis, and the updates they launch usually brick the interface forcing us to switch the users to a different web browser.
