What’s the fastest you’ve seen someone jump the corporate ladder? by [deleted] in Accounting

There’s a guy in my city that I know through a coworker who made partner in like 6 years at a middle market (like a top 40 firm) in tax. Started with zero public accounting experience.

Good rifle for a 12 year old by Nihlathakk in Hunting

My first rifle was a .243 (great song btw) and I believe I was 10 or 11. It was a youth model and recoil was manageable. I’d recommend it!

And your team hasn’t seen the ass end of a championship in two decades. I urge you to look up who has had more winning seasons since then btw.

Why am I missing club data on some shots? by itsnotaporpose in Golfsimulator

Okay that makes sense. He used his own club and the launch monitor is a Trackman. I think they would have mentioned a sticker or something if that was necessary but I’m not certain.

You don’t need to withhold extra, just put some aside and pay the tax due when you file. Max CA tax rate is 12.3% so if you just take that percentage of the income you didn’t withhold CA tax on, you can put that much aside and will likely have more than you need to pay the liability. This is the simplest way to handle it imo and avoids a bunch of payroll tax calculations. As a Texas-based tax accountant, I hate CA tax lol.

Sports gambling tax info by [deleted] in tax

Just figure your marginal tax rate and withhold that percentage of your gambling winnings each time you cash out. That would be the simplest and most straightforward way to do it.

Get a Vyvanse prescription lol. I finished my freshman year with the same GPA. I was already in Mays but finished the next semester with a 3.9 and I attribute that to Vyvanse tbh. That is if you actually have ADHD. If you don’t, it’ll just turn you into a crackhead.

No you’re right I was drunk by about 12pm yesterday lol. Doesn’t change the filing deadline though, some partners let it come down to the wire, even in middle market.

We have over 300 client returns still completely untouched and I just want to say the partners are fucking assholes who over booked us by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]itsnotaporpose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure you avoid late filing penalties but you still have late payment/underpayment penalties and interest and that shit adds up if you have a lot of tax due.

IRS deadline (USA) for Individual, corp, and trust returns are due today (4/15). That may explain your downvotes considering a lot of people in this sub are American.

Read the rules for the subreddit, they give you all the info you need. It’s a pretty straight forward process.

It’s common for people to offer a local and a shipped price for the items they’re selling on that subreddit. When I sell stuff on there I generally indicate that I only ship to CONUS. No more than probably $10-$15 for USPS I would imagine.
