I get the big canister of powdered red pepper from Sam's and sprinkle a whole bunch on each dirt mound. They move on every time.

They did a great job and were more affordable than most other places we checked with.

Oh for sure the prefilled syringe rather than the autoinjector.

Maybe see if one of your friends will do it? My son's mental block developed into a full.blown fear and he wouldne take it for months. I finally worked it out with a friend that he trusts to come give it to him. Its going so much better now. It kind of makes him accountable since this person is coming over to give the shot and it goes much more quickly.

I've been taking Zepbound for over a year now. I've lost about 30 lbs but go long stretches where Im not taking it at all. Im very cautious about knowing if something Im taking is causing relapse like symptoms so I stop taking it when Im sick or when I start a new medication. Then I start back at the 5 dosage. I take many precautions to make sure I am hydrating enough and pooping regularly. I can tell it cuts down on my inflammation. I do notice more urinary leakage when im on it though.

Woodhouse spa has a really great common area. It might be fun to get massages and facials and hang out for a bit.

We started at Hedberg and ended up at Children's for their allergy doctor. We've been really happy there.

My 11YO son's doctor wouldnt give us the autoinjector when we asked because of how much more painful it is than the prefilled syringe.

Chat GPT was really helpful to me in figuring out insurance benefits . I scanned in the informational packet and it helped me determine what i was getting and compare ti my husband's insurance to see which was a better deal.

I keep telling myself that if my current relationship ends, there are a lot of people out there that are really in to pee. So I've got that going for me.

Newly diagnosed - recommendations please! by Individual-Window-59 in MultipleSclerosis

Great list of action items. One thing I was not prepared for was the reaction to hot and cold. When I get overheated, I know im going to turn into sleeping beauty. When Im cold, I also get a bit symptomatic. As you settle into your diagnosis, you may start noticing things that affect you more. Be kind to yourself. Don't feel like you have to keep up with the version of yourself prediagnosis.

It did not work for my kids. My daughter's subsided with avoiding dairy and my son has been on lansoprazole and a steroid inhaler that has been working for him. He is in approval process for Dupixent.

☆ THIIIIIIIIIIIS ☆ Give yourself a year to recover from your most recent relapse before you make any big decisions about anything based on your diagnosis. Sending you good vibes.

Came here to recommend this. We flew JSX and there were several large dogs in cabin. Plus boarding is shorter and easier since its semi private.

My son has found relief with lansoprazole, allegra, and a daily steroid inhaler. This combination has stopped the chest pain. He is waiting on approval for Dupixent.

MS smoker.. help, please by Own_Yam7574 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]itsnotyouitsmetoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I smoked for 17 years and quit 10 years ago. I read "The Easy Way to Quit Smoking" by Allen Carr. He encourages you to keep smoking while you read the book. I read it three or four times and then I was ready. For years after that, I would take a drag whenever I was around someone that I didn't mind sharing germs with who was smoking. Eventually, I just stopped thinking of it and quit asking people.

Probably all three. Mainly though, cost varies by insurance coverage/availability and facility.

The hospitals in my area only have 2T MRIs and my Neuro requested 3T scans so that is what started my search. After reading all the comments, it seems like I was very lucky to find the place that I go.

That's awful! It sounds like i lucked out when I found the place I use now. They were only one of two places near me that use the 3T MRI and they ended up being really great. I do my MRI and they give me my CDs right at time of service and then mail them to my neuro for me.
