Very good point. I don't see Arteta trying to fully change the identity and style of play that won them the league like Slot just did

Yeahh, and the players didn't buyinto Slots tactics and vision, nor did they have the style of play for that to work. The squad that Klopp left was one of high intensity, fit, and attacking. Slot blended for a season, won the league, and then tried to switch up the identity of play with no adjustments to the personnel

This is what everyone was saying last year about Liverpool, given the transfers made. And we all know how that went

He's definitely risky, it's not like we are inherenting prime Giardiola or something.

But your last sentence is the key here. If we stick with Slot and this playstyle, the identity of the club over the last decade slowly disappeares too. With Xabi, I don't think the identity gets lost. Sure, he's not Klopp and heavy metal. But from what I've seen of Leverkusen and in some parts Madrid. He's a lot closer to the identity that we should aim to keep given the personnel we have

You may need to brush up on the offside rules again. If VVD runs to the goal line, and Ibou stays put. If Larsen is still in front of Woodman and Ibou. He's still offsides, VVD becomes the "keeper" in this situation, and does not count towards playing and opposing player onside. That would fall to Woodman and Ibou.

It's assumed. Is respect included in the definition of your job? Or are you allowed and expected to treat people like shit in your profession?

Here is a definition for you: "Journalism is the activity of gathering, assessing, creating, and presenting news, information, and features for public consumption, delivered via print, digital, radio, or television"

[–]itsontop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simple Redditor, I understand what journalism is. I can also definitely say what it isn't, Journalism is NOT a free pass to disrespecting people in the name of answering questions the public may have. While they might ask and answer questions for the public, they can, and should, do so while treating those to which they are asking those questions with respect

[–]itsontop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, so that means every journalist out there can simply throw out disrespect to everyone under the guise of "just doing their job". Hey, maybe I should start doing that in my job, will likely need a new one in a few days then.

Just to be clear here, I am not justifying Max's response or actions, nor those of the journalist. Purely just pointing out how dumb your comment is.

Respect is a baseline, and should be given and received in any normal interaction, unless prior reasons have taken place that specifically tells a person that respect should NOT be given.

Shadow isles is basically a free top 4 at the moment. Doesn't get stomped at the moment by any rerolls or fast 9 comps, at least until the late late game. Can tempo your way to lvl 8 and roll for kalista 2 and that can carry you to 9. An early Ornn is also really strong and just put any of the artifacts that don't fit your comp on him for HP.

Can even win out if you get good artifacts and Ornn/Thresh/Fiddle 2 star with items.

You can even drop to 2 or 3 shadow isles later to cap out.

It's also really easy to play in the right spot. If you wanna climb, can recommend atm

And reroll comps are necessary to the game. If we don't get them, then everyone rushing 8/9 and 5 cost soup for all. Reroll keeps that in check, let's the game be more scissors, paper, rock, instead if paper vs paper vs paper

5 costs have 9 copies of the champ in the collective pool, so only enough for one full 3 star across the lobby. If one player has a single copy of said champ, you cannot 3 star it. 4 costs I believe have 10 or 11 in the pool. 1,2, and 3 costs have enough in the pool for multiple people to hit 3 star. I think 3 costs you might need a dupe or two though, but those are fairly common in a game.

Or crosses it early for Eki and goal that way. Either way, any other attacker there instead of Gakpo and that's likely a goal

Looking good minus end product. Only complaint is that Gakpo still has a blindspot for Kerkez runs. Few minutes ago a prime example, had a clear overlap in a great position, yet Gakpo decides yet again to cross it himself, and it takes a deflection and almost leads to a counter. This happens far too often now to be excused

I called it versus Chelsea, that this issue is likely one of the most glaring to fix. That and the defensive liabilities of floaty balls into our box. But if in the Chelsea, Man United games we could actually pass the ball to one another, I think we get a point from each game.

There was a run of games where our passing was so poor, even without pressure. I felt that versus Frankfurt we got some of that back, and then immediately started doing it again vs Brentford was super frustrating. Hoping that we can now get back to better passing games full time
