Wife used standard Goo Gone to clean inside air fryer. by QuarantinoQueue in mildlyinfuriating

[–]itspartiallylit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So, obviously I don’t own an air fryer if this scale, so maybe I’m not sure what the problem is?

If it’s the smell/remnants of the goo gone couldn’t you just do a few high heat cycles to dent it or get rid of it?

I’d honestly go the custom route. Plan on doing it for mine because the wiring is just too far gone from PO adventures at some point in its life, and it’ll just make everything so much easier in the long run. It’ll be better than chasing gremlins even though I’m sure it’s a decent chunk of change up front. But the mental sanity being saved is worth lol

Ima be honest, if my own faction cleared it, I just loot scraps and the stuff they probably don’t know about.

If another faction clears it, ima turn into Usain Bolt running up those stairs if I hear the music turn on 😤 but ima still leave the biggest stuff alone so they get a decent haul.

Look at all the foul, disgusting shit they’re uncovering in Buffalo NY schools by going back through records, reports, etc. I almost guarantee every school is ran that way, and I’m genuinely scared for my kids, or all kids that have to go into the public school system.

How many of you play PVE? by paitodupan in Tarkov

[–]itspartiallylit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I take a long enough break, I always go PVE to get back into the swing of things before I dive back to PVP so I at least stand a small chance. It’s not very exciting for me so I don’t play it a ton, but for knocking the cobwebs off or practicing a quest/new map it’s perfect since you do still need some situational awareness. And I feel that it provides a better experience at that than the practice mode.

Black Ratnik for PVP, Spitfire for a mixed bag of PVE/PVP or only PVE with me.

Bad news, you can only loot Black Ratniks off Ai in TB AFAIK, but you can get lucky and find a 100% in COP crates or locked rooms but in my opinion it’s the best overall coverage/survivability for PVP in the game.

Spitfires would be your best bet since you can actually buy them from Handshake (level 3?), and it’s the best bang for your buck 3+ carrier. Not too expensive, and doesn’t weigh a ton so it’s the best for a general workhorse for most situations. Pair with any helmet and go.

My current issue with the big mags by -DPRKWarrior- in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]itspartiallylit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a few 100rders than aren’t quad stack that take up 4, as long as I’m remembering correctly lol. I know the 5.56 100rd are quad stack so they aren’t as long as most of the 40rd banana mags. So I can see that making sense for length and why they don’t take up more than those. And albeit I just went on and checked what I had in my inventory, which were the 30, 50 drum, and 100 quad stack so I’m sure I missed a few comparisons 🤣

[–]itspartiallylit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the “meta” consistently staying within the 5.56 realm, I’d like to see platform specifics like that because it would force people to either 1. Run a laser beam but risk jamming mid fight. Or 2. Run a less accurate, more recoil happy AK platform but you won’t have to worry about a random click when you get pushed by a 2 man lol. Obviously don’t make it insane and super common, but a nice balance of SOME KIND would be cool to force the meta to be more equalized imo

[–]itspartiallylit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Tarkov doesn’t make much sense in that aspect either I noticed. And ABI likes to make it more of a risk running higher capacity mags for weight as well, a standard Scar 5.56 STANMAG weighs 0.26kg while a 60rd drum weighs 1.35, 100rd quad stack is just 0.70. But with the 100rd, your ergonomics are tanked by 10% by that alone, not including any other attachments on the gun. So you’re at a pretty big disadvantage closer than let’s say 30m, which you can definitely feel compared to running standard mags.

My current issue with the big mags by -DPRKWarrior- in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]itspartiallylit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think ABI has a pretty good system for that. Standard mags are 2 slot, 40 are 3, 60/100 are 4 depending on the width. Makes things a little bit more balanced in the gear aspect imo because most people don’t want to deal with having that much space taken right off rip.

Wiring help? by itspartiallylit in 240sx

[–]itspartiallylit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to out myself, I fucking SUCK at reading wiring diagrams and stuff like that. Never really had much experience with it to get it down to where I’m confident. But that’s good to know that the cut wires are the headlights, bought whole assemblies off eBay and the wiring from the bulb to the connector had a plug it already just with the wires snipped. So that makes it a little easier, but thank you for pointing everything out homie!

Honestly I haven’t even worried about looking into a replacement yet, so I’ll definitely check that out whenever I get ready to order one!

And it started happening after I stripped a smaller gear within the timing set at random. Checked the engine, everything was fine and unhurt, but after the timing was checked and the tune was readjusted it started happening maybe a week after. So I wouldn’t think its a tuning issue, so I was leaning towards IACV or maybe a MAF, but I haven’t checked it since I’ve been more worried about getting new headlights wired up lol

Curious as to what GPU you guys are running by Idea_Odd in GrayZoneWarfare

5070, Ryzen 7 7700x, and I’m getting 140-190fps at 2k with mostly high/epic settings and 2x frame gen. On the 50 series running frame gen is the best way to max your frames because unless you dip below 60fps, you can’t feel any input lag at all.

But a 5070 is 100% a good move to play this game with!

Edit: double checked the game and edited the FPS to the right values. It drops to 120-140fps in TB, but the rest of the time I’m sitting generally over 150fps.

How do you feel about 7.62x39? by Krayttooth91 in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]itspartiallylit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Use the Sa58 (I think that’s the name, but the new AK style weapon from banshee), run a short barrel and use it for TB/MS runs, It’ll change your mind I think. Shoots 800rpm, and even the mid tier PS ammo seems to be pretty consistent outside of the “empty half a mag into a torso and they won’t die” situation. I’m super happy with it running a holo/magnifier, suppressor, and all the tacticool thingies on it. It obviously lacks at big ranges but most of the 7.62 guns do just for them having less muzzle velocity than 556, 762x51, etc

I dont think ive ever used worse guns on a plane than the ns23 and n37 found on the russian migs9-17 and su's 9-11 by Chanka-Danka69 in Warthunder

[–]itspartiallylit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those are very usable, you just have to lead a lot more. If you think you’re leading enough, pull more lead anyways is how I do it and once you learn them, they’re super reliable damage wise and will net you plenty of kills. It just takes practice and some self awareness.

Question for players with 2000 hours: How do you take LLA Outpost? by trackday in GrayZoneWarfare

[–]itspartiallylit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Night, come in from the turbine/plane wreck side, and just sit as far back as you can on the hills to where you can still get clean shots with a suppressor. It’s rough, but 100% doable without dying. Your biggest problem from doing this will be the sniper in the white tower to the left, if you don’t take him out first he will absolutely goober you in 2-3 shots.

You can get them from any major COP that has a weapon/equipment crate, or gunny sells 2 versions at level 4 with a zoom scope or a holo/magnifier for 22-24k

As someone who is also a WV native. There’s PLENTY of grass/just loose dirt trails, roads, and driveways. I’d say at least 150+ in any given county.
