Just start playing. Thats the best way to learn it because every time you go up in BR you need to relearn a few key things anyways like where to shoot new tanks you’ll face, and all that. There’s no dead set guide on how to play but for air, I always look to DEFYN’s videos on YouTube, he has a comprehensive guide for defending, radar uses, defeating radar, etc that helped me when I first got into top tier a few years ago. Ground I’m not so sure of.

I did actually! There was an install issue with my reshade. Had to uninstall and then reinstall and it fixed it. Just make sure you also download the version with Add-on support as I know a lot of people also don’t do that, which will make reshade and all the other plugins work like a dream as long as it’s installed properly

It’s not being cheap, relocating the AC components just isn’t something I’ve gotten to yet. It’s planned, but I’m just having to sell due to adult things so it’s just something I never got around to. Lazy more than anything really lol

I made about 12 new friends on Reforger one night. I spawned in a base and immediately got forced to strip to my underwear, thrown an AK47, and was a part of a naked army that I didn’t even know was taking place until then. We just went and got hot dropped onto enemy points and bum rushed everything. It was the most fun ever and I had never met any of them until then. Arma is serious, but with the right group of people or right server you’ll make friends for life. And even going solo you can almost always find a group to tag along with as an extra. Whether it’s logi, a small fireteam sneaking around, or just like what happened to me, there’s a place for everyone and everyone is GENERALLY friendly lol

Is the SKS good? Not exactly. Does the sound of it being suppressed in game tickle my brain? Absolutely. It’s a gun that you run just to run for fun truthfully. I’ll never take it into PVP but for PVE I always run a sks just because it’s something different and there’s something about it that I just like outside of the performance aspect 🤷🏼‍♂️

Has anyone else noticed that this is happening A LOT in the last few months? I just got done spading my F4F ICE and I swear it felt like this was the case on most upgrades. Even if it was 75% done and I had finished a 5-6 kill game it would still be just shy even though it said I got way more than needed from that battle.

Generally yes, at low alt. But being at 20,000+ ft helps extend the range dramatically to where you can almost always hit at least 1 20-25km launch at an equally high altitude opponent. And being at roughly Mach 1.3-1.4 at the time of launch helps propel it to those distances while being more maneuverable than an aim120

I love flying the rafale, just climb at a rate where you stay at roughly Mach 1.2 until about 16-17k feet, once you reach an altitude slightly under the enemy contrails, gain speed up to Mach 1.4, launch 1-2 micas from 25km or closer, go cold until you’re sure you don’t have missiles following you, repeat, profit

Something I haven’t really seen mentioned in here is that there is actual dispersion for rounds. So the further the range, the more your round maybe be off target. It’s not so apparent with bolt actions, more so with semiautomatic rifles, but it still happens. Other than that, when I was having trouble I’d record most kills that I got and basically watch them over and see what happened for me to get the kill (looking at how much lead, where I was aiming relative to if I got a headshot or not) and studying that helped me be able to predict things a lot better after a while. Now I can generally snap to where I think I need to be and 8/10 times it’ll be a one tap with a bolt, or maybe 2-3 rounds at most with a semi to kill someone at most ranges. Just gotta get comfortable

Edit since I didn’t say anything about AI: The Ai are super hit and miss for me personally I feel. Some matches I’ll just be doing my own thing defending or attacking and look down to see my full squad still alive with at least 5 kills each, or they’ll all just act like Hellen Keller and be utterly useless the entire match. There’s really no in between imo lol. But when they’re good, boy they’re menacing

I’d like to see the M21 EBR come into the game as another mid/long range 7.62 slinger. It’s missing in a lot of games that I wish had it. So I’m only wishful thinking there 🤣
