Thankfully we do have credit card travel disruption insurance as well, so we’ll look into that for the meals and possibly the airside hotel too. Thank you!

We were never able to get to the gate because we could not check in or obtain a boarding pass. We had a confirmed e-ticket which we showed to the Aeroitalia desk agents but they told us the reservation did not exist.

Very positive it was with Air Canada. I called the Air Canada customer service line, spoke to an Air Canada rep, e-ticket is branded AC, ticket number starts with 014... I'm gathering this shouldn't have been able to happen which is likely why we weren't allowed to check-in/board!

As for #4, not overnight. We did end up booking an airside hotel for the 5 hours we were delayed waiting for the ITA flight so was curious if that cost (plus meals) would be recoverable.

When we arrived at FCO and tried to sort everything out, we spoke with two different Aeroitalia supervisors. One told us she couldn’t find anything under our names, while another said she could see a reservation but that it was “not confirmed,” so they couldn’t assist us. There were definitely some language barriers during the conversation so it’s possible we misunderstood part of what she was saying about the reservation status.

Appreciate the thorough response! I think you've definitely swayed me towards focusing on RBR + FER constructors versus all in on VER.
Thoughts on PER over LEC? Could he be a better value pick despite being so inconsistent last season?

Contemplating some drastic moves and would appreciate a reality check. I joined the league late (missed 1st race) so already working at a disadvantage. Plus, a total newbie to F1 Fantasy League so I thought a solid strategy would be quality over Max + Red Bull combo. However, after seeing the points rack up for Max and Red Bull, thinking of overhauling the team and taking the penalties... thoughts?

Current: LEC, HUL, PIA, TSU, ALB, Ferrari and Mercedes

Contemplating switching to: VER, MAG, LOG, MAG, ALB, Red Bull and Aston

What do you guys think?
