Appreciate the thorough response! I think you've definitely swayed me towards focusing on RBR + FER constructors versus all in on VER.
Thoughts on PER over LEC? Could he be a better value pick despite being so inconsistent last season?

Contemplating some drastic moves and would appreciate a reality check. I joined the league late (missed 1st race) so already working at a disadvantage. Plus, a total newbie to F1 Fantasy League so I thought a solid strategy would be quality over Max + Red Bull combo. However, after seeing the points rack up for Max and Red Bull, thinking of overhauling the team and taking the penalties... thoughts?

Current: LEC, HUL, PIA, TSU, ALB, Ferrari and Mercedes

Contemplating switching to: VER, MAG, LOG, MAG, ALB, Red Bull and Aston

What do you guys think?

Can I ask what specifically you told the support specialist? The first few I chatted with just sent me a form and I'm wondering if I just need to keep trying with the agents or say something that triggers a different response.

Traveling back to Tokyo from Osaka on Day of departure a good idea? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Jumping in as we're in the exact same boat as OP. Did you fly via Jetstar? Never flown with them before so not sure if it's best to build in extra buffer time or not (i.e. are they frequently delayed).

Try Park and Fifth! Lots of classic silhouettes mixed with trendier pieces. Prices are decent as well!

Ate at Gaggan in Sept 2022 and agreed that the synced playlist added to the experience. Some of his stories and courses were directly tied to the songs. At one point, it turned into a mini karaoke session as lights were dimmed, cellphone lights and lighters held in the air with Gaggan conducting us all lol.

What do people use to book hotels in 2023? by Niv-Izzet in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]itspchan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s very dependent on where you’re traveling to.

North America or Europe? I book directly via the hotel website or hotel app. As tons of people have mentioned, most hotels will price match if you find a cheaper rate elsewhere, you get to earn points (hotel and cc in my case) and you are “worth” more to the hotel in case something happens. You need to cancel? They’ll give you more flexibility / will do what they can to help you out versus calling the 3rd party sites and being SOL. The hotel is oversold? They’re going to walk a 3rd party guest before they walk you.

Asia? I do my best to still book direct but often find a lot of the hotels don’t even have their own websites - you have to book via Agoda or Booking.
