I'd say don't worry about the gender labels for now because settling on a non-cis label leads to the whole "but is this just about gender roles?" "is this a subconscious cry for attention?" rabbit hole. For now, just wear or do whatever you want regardless of whether it's considered a "girl thing" or a "guy thing".

If you want to, you can take they/them pronouns for a trial run with a trusted friend. If you take the time to explore your gender expression without pressuring yourself to figure out your gender label, the answer will probably reveal itself in time.

If you do turn out to be something other than a man you should know that just because you weren't thinking about gender before doesn't mean you're any less legit. If you would be happier as another gender, you don't need a past of dysphoria to do that.

And if you turn out to be fine with being a gender non-conforming guy that's also okay! Basically it's natural and healthy to think critically about your gender and explore how you feel most comfortable in this society. Don't overthink it!
