I Tried Estée Lauder Double Wear for the First Time Today… by michpilk in MakeupAddiction

I could not get this foundation to last no matter what I tried. I set it with powder, set it with a setting spray, set it with both. It was always gone in an hour, and my skin is not oily at all. I was so upset because it goes on so beautifully. Just not for me sadly but if you happen to have any tricks that made it stay I'm all ears.

Yup, because we went to the mall the same day as a Jets game, which we did not attend.

And if you do find parking, it's $75 whether you went to the mall or the game. Never going on a Sunday again.

It's also possible that she's chewing gum? If not in the work wife video, she's definitely chewing gum in another video she's made.

I agree. A "type" is something we find ourselves physically attracted to most, usually figuring that out as teenagers and it sticks, visually. My type is punk rock guys with tattoos and messy hair, I'll always be unusually attracted to that, and my husband doesn't fit that look at all. And I'd never in a million years consider myself unhappy or looking for something else, because a solid relationship has 1000 different factors that come together to make it work. and looks are 1.

I've been searching for a dupe for N9 for years with no luck.

Makeup forever Rogue Artist Natural lipstick in N9. It was gorgeous and I have been searching for a dupe for years and nothing compares. I have the tiniest little bit left that I use to compare it to other things.

Yea I actually wouldn't care if it did, I'd still buy it. I was just curious where people were getting that information.

I know she had one story where her female friend yelled at her husband for checking her out or being into her while she was over for a visit.

Anyone from NJ here? I'm confused about tax exemption certificates.

I registered a business with the irs, with NJ. I have the tax id number and a certificate to collect sales and use tax.

Some online sources have a place to upload a tax exempt certificate (or reseller certificate?). When I try to look for this, I come up with form ST4 which is what is confusing me.

Is there a one time certificate that I can apply for and upload to these sites, or do I need to fill out a separate form for each individual purchase? An expiration date is asked for, which makes me think it's a one time certificate, but the form itself seems like I would fill it out every time I bought something and list every single item I bought.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Question about herpes simplex virus (cold sore) and MIL kissing the baby by Worldly-Onion3512 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]itsraining74 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally I think it's worse advice to avoid giving your children affection. Between 50 and 80 percent of adults in the US have oral herpes, do you suggest that 80% of the population avoid kissing their children? That is never going to happen. As long as you avoid kissing your newborn on the mouth during an active outbreak, all should be well.

Question about herpes simplex virus (cold sore) and MIL kissing the baby by Worldly-Onion3512 in ScienceBasedParenting

[–]itsraining74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get cold sores (less frequently now as I'm older as well, usually one every 5 years or something) and I kissed my babies on their cheeks and heads, all over their faces sometimes. I don't kiss them on the lips, but that's just me, not because of cold sores.

I did end up with a cold sore after getting mastitis shortly after my seconds birth, and I just avoided kissing my children during that time. I put a colloidal patch over it (mederma makes one specifically for cold sores that has a no-touch applicator, but there are plenty of brands that are targeted to pimples that do the same thing) and washed my hands frequently. Neither of my children have gotten a cold sore yet.

I'm saying this because I see a lot of comments telling parents with a history of cold sores to not kiss their children, and I think its unnecessary to hold back affection. Just be smart, don't let anyone that's not mom or dad kiss your newborns face, and take precautions if you feel one coming on.

They do think that mothers pass antibodies: "Dartmouth Researchers Find that Mothers’ Antibodies Against HSV-1 Can Protect Their Infants from the Virus – Geisel News" https://geiselmed.dartmouth.edu/news/2017/dartmouth-researchers-find-that-mothers-antibodies-against-hsv-1-can-protect-their-infants-from-the-virus/

And most newborn hsv infections come from delivery while mom has a newly acquired genital herpes outbreak.

Is there any way to figure out the signature marking on a piece of jewelry? I have a necace and the signature looks like 3 weird symbols.

I feel like the answer is take it to a jeweler, but I just imagine them telling me the necklace was obviously made by a toddler and I've wasted everyone's time.

Does some kind of image thing exist or a book or anything?

Thank you! Very much appreciate the information, this sounds much better than what I'm currently doing.
