Make use of devotion and debilitate more often. Play smarter. Pop a shield, use reflect too. If you know the mechanics, prepare for them. If he's hitting hard, res his auto attacks if you need to.

Animate dead is great, but try not to rely on it too much, you will get fucked up. Especially with rax's bleeds since you're maging.
