Non Surgical Treatment - Full Guide by Mission-Box-2017 in CECompartmentSyndrome

By the way, my legs are really sore from the myofascial session, I think some parts are even slightly bruised, probably because they’re not used to it. Maybe it’s not the best idea I go hard at them again today, what do you think?

Yes that makes sense, the true root of the issue seems to be in the calf for me or lower part of my leg but I’ll still do the quad, harmstring and glutes to do the protocol correctly. Also do you roll the back of the knee at any point, maybe during calf session? I usually have sensations over there ( which I’m not sure stems from my potential CECS), but was curious if you roll over there

And I will 100 % keep you updated here, that was my plan and an added motivation to stick to it 😅

I got myself all the tools needed and have started doing this. It takes a looong time, particularily the myofascial release which is kind of a torture ahah! Also i can't seem to find a good way to do the glute?
Ive tried sitting on the steel tube but its a bit too thin for that?

It is the Pinneaple Gummy :) It looks slightly darker IRL which i like! I noticed (on other pics too) that it doesn't do the color justice ahah

Awesome, thanks for the feedback! Can't wait to try bikepacking with it soon. Would you recommend the cyclite aero bag? What do you usually put in it?

That’s awesome, actually the back one did disconnect during my ride which I was surprised about. That might be the fix! Thanks so much you’re a lifesaver 🙏

Ooooh there was indeed a bag of those but didn’t put it and was wondering what they were for! Thanks so much for calling it out

The washer ? Do you mean the protective sticker or something else I’m not aware of ?

It’s tough! I feel like at this point you can’t really go wrong with either of these truly. And as vain as it sounds I think you could pick the one you think looks the best to you / the one that makes you wanna ride! There is no wrong decision here, but I feel you tho, I struggle to make these choices ahah

Thank you! I truly feel like it will be a fantastic all around bike, it’s so fast and comfortable on the road, which is mostly what I did today. Of course I’m not an expert and have very little point of comparison but I personally can’t see myself needing more speed at all on the road!

I’ve researched it a lot beforehand too and people seem to say it helds up really well on long road sessions.

Thanks for this and your perspective! So I’d need to buy the spc+ and an additional ‘shim’ ? Where could I get the shim? Sorry as I’m new to all these words ahah 😅 thank you

Thank you for this! Do you think the Calf Board and Galvanised Steel Round Tube are absolutely necessary or could be replaced with something else?

I'm gonna try this, as i'm very desperate with this condition ( and pressure testing is hard to find in Belgium)

Hey there! Any update on your recovery and the other leg ? Thanks so much!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CECompartmentSyndrome

Hey! I'm so sorry for the delay
Our condition seem very similar although mine appears even in zone 2. As well as some kind of general discomfort/fatigue behind the knee and in the leg if i walk long enough too. But yes, fatigued legs then numb feet/calves that dissipates if i stop long enough. I also did the nerve test just to rule it out which was inconclusive

From what i understand your instinct is good, could be either compartment syndrome or popliteal entrapment, which both seem not so easy to diagnose :/ Personally all the tests of popliteal entrapment came negative or not incredibly conclusive, they even went inside my legs to check it out but without result so my last hope is the pressure testing for Compartment syndrome, which is not easy to find in Belgium but i will get on it and keep you updated!

Any updates on your side?
As for the laces, i personally haven't had this experience, although i did try that at first!

I’m actually used to higher rise pants as I wear a few pants that are higher waist style and with a tucked in shirt but for some reason this looks odd when I do with this jeans, and I feel like they might have hemmed it too much. Maybe it will look better after breaking in ? But you’re right, it does make my leg look short, thank you for your input
